Teenager Alexander and his friend Determinate, the amazing train that talks and feels are stranded in the Mother world, a far-advanced planet than ours, ruled by lethal Creatures. Alexander is taken in by families and Elders living in hiding in the mountains, but even that is not safe unless he can prove he is the saviour they have been waiting for.
