There are six foundational doctrines to the Christian faith. Because they are foundational, every believer should have a clear understanding of each one of these doctrines, and live by them. Those who have a clear understanding of these doctrines and who also live by them, will have a sure foundation. And they will not be deceived by any false teachings, that they may come across in their Christian walk. Of the six foundational doctrines, the two that were most commonly taught to the church by the apostle Paul, were repentance from dead works and faith towards God. The reason for that was because these are the two doctrines that most influence the lives of believers. This book examines the doctrine of repentance from dead works.
Our Lord Jesus used the ministry of laying on of hands. It is with the ministry of Jesus that we see, for the first time in the bible, the extensive use of this method of ministry. The laying on of hands, teaches believers how to minister the grace of God to His church and to the world. For the laying on of hands deals primarily with the gifts of the Spirit and the power of God. This book will help the believer to more fully understand the importance of this ministry and how to operate in it.
The scripture plainly calls this doctrine the doctrine of "baptisms" - plural. There are three distinct baptisms taught in the New Testament. Just as each baptism is a separate event, so each baptism also fulfils a different role in our walk as believers. This book looks at each baptism in detail, explaining not only what each baptism is about, but also the benefits of each one. Which is why our Lord Jesus put them in place in His church.
As far as our walk as believers is concerned, God has decreed that we are to live by faith. Because under the New Covenant we are to live by faith, it is essential that we understand just how faith works. This book will help believers to more fully understand just how to walk by faith so that they can appropriate all that God has given us in this life.
When every person leaves this planet we all go to one of two places. We either go to heaven or we go to hell. Those who have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour go to heaven and those who have not accepted Jesus as Lord go to hell. There is more to it than that though. For there is an eternal judgement that all have to still incur. The believers have to stand before Jesus Christ to give an account for their lives and the unbelievers have to stand before the saints to give an account for their lives. Both judgement's are eternal. This book reveals what the word of God teaches us regarding both of these judgments.
