Orson Scott Card (f. 1951) er en amerikansk forfatter, der skriver inden for flere forskellige genrer, men som hovedsageligt er kendt for sine science fiction-romaner. Enders strategi (1985) er hans mest kendte, og både for den og for efterfølgeren Speaker for the Dead (1986) vandt han de to højeste priser inden for science fiction-genren: The Hugo Award og The Nebula Award.Sidste gang Jorden blev angrebet af de insektlignende væsner 'summerne' var det med voldsomme ødelæggelser og tab af menneskeliv til følge.
