Distance education is the main emphasis on decentralized, participatory and popular education. Today, there are fewer countries that do not use distance education to meet their educational goals, but will vary according to the level of progress of each country used by the technology. One of the most commonly used telecommunication technologies today is the computer. The first attempt by teachers to use computers in the traditional classroom was usually lecture, learning experiences related to the teacher's teaching that was done in other educational settings, or was used as homework for further study. Along with the advances of other sectors, educational systems are also evolving, and the trend towards teacher-centric learning is on the rise. For example, in Bangladesh, textbooks in each subject include three student books, a teacher guide and a student guide. In all three books, there are activities on information and communication technology.

The transition to more just and sustainable development requires radical change across a wide range of areas and particularly within the nexus between learning and work. This book takes an expansive view of vocational education and training that goes beyond the narrow focus of much of the current literature and policy debate. Drawing on case studies across rural and urban settings in Uganda and South Africa, the book offers a new way of seeing this issue through an exploration of the multiple ways in which people learn to have better livelihoods. Crucially, it explores learning that takes place informally online, within farmers' groups, and in public and private educational institutions. Offering new insights and ways of thinking about this field, the book draws out clear implications for theory, policy and practice in Africa and beyond.
The study aimed to study the profile characteristics, the motivational factors for joining of the course, evaluation of course effectiveness based on students perception, measurement of awareness, knowledge, symbolic adoption and actual adoption levels of the distance learners and also the problems and suggestions of the distance learners for effective functioning of Directorate of Open and Distance Learning, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Tamil Nadu, India. This will be helpful to understand the learner¿s position and needs of the learners regarding essentiality to complete a certificate course and the knowledge required from the course by the learners respectively. It will be helpful to concentrate and enhance the course flexibility or student favored factors to attract more number of enrollment in those courses. The findings of the study help us to further improve the quality and standard of the certificate courses which in turn benefits the distance learner to gain more knowledge.

Dieses Lexem wird in Kapitel 1.1 dieser Arbeit genauer beschrieben. In Punkt 1.2 wird auf die Frage ¿Warum wird Berufsorientierung gebraucht?¿ eingegangen. Es gibt verschiedene Theorien, wie sich die Berufswahl von Menschen abspielt. Darauf wird in Kapitel zwei näher eingegangen. Berufsorientierung findet zum großen Teil in der Schule statt. Die Schule kann eine umfassende Berufsorientierung bieten, die für die Schüler keine Kosten verursacht. Deswegen ist die Berufsorientierung in der Schule eine frei zugängliche Möglichkeit für jeden Schüler. Meistens thematisieren Fächer wie Arbeitslehre oder Sozialkunde die Berufsorientierung. For over 40 years, the tech industry has been working to attract more women. Yet, women continue to be underrepresented in technology jobs compared to other professions. Worse, once hired, women leave the field mid-career twice as often as men. In 2013, Karen Holtzblatt launched The Women in Tech Retention Project at WITops.org, dedicated to understanding what helps women in tech thrive. In 2014, Nicola Marsden joined the effort, bringing her extensive knowledge and research on gender and bias for women in tech. Together with worldwide volunteers, this research identified what helps women thrive and practical interventions to improve women's experience at work. In this book, we share women's stories, our research, relevant literature, and our perspective on making change to help retain women. All the research and solutions we share are based on deep research and user-centered ideation techniques. Part I describes the @Work Experience Framework and the six key factors that help women thrive: a dynamic valuing team; stimulating projects; the push into challenges with support; local role models; nonjudgmental flexibility to manage home/work balance; and developing personal power. Employees thinking of leaving their job have significantly lower scores on these factors showing their importance for retention. Part II describes tested interventions that redesign work practices to better support women, diverse teams, and all team members. We chose these interventions guided by data from over 1,000 people from multiple genders, ethnicities, family situations, and countries. Interventions target key processes in tech: onboarding new hires; group critique meetings; and Scrum. Interventions also address managing interpersonal dynamics to increase valuing and decrease devaluing behaviors and techniques for teams to define, monitor, and continuously improve their culture. We conclude by describing our principles for redesigning processes with an eye toward issues important to women and diverse teams.
