The Deep State.Politicians tell you it's a myth...The media mocks the very idea...And bureaucrats deny its existence. Here's the shocking truth: They deny the Deep State exists because they are the Deep State. And, their primary goals are to: - Grow bigger-expanding their power at the expense of your freedom- Advance their ideology in every part of our society- And resist anyone or anything that disagrees with their own agendaThe Deep State begins with a decentralized network at all levels of the state, local and federal government ... into the private sector. But its corrupt reach and influence stretch far beyond the government...In The Deep State: 15 Surprising Dangers You Should Know, television commentator, author and small business owner Craig Huey reveals the little-known but powerful influence of this ideological stronghold over our entire nation ... our culture ... and even what our children are learning in school. You'll be horrified to learn: - How the intelligence agencies have become weaponized for political purposes- 8 government agencies where Deep State influence has escalated to a totalitarian, anti-democratic resistance movement- How members of the "bloated bureaucracy" are promoting the Deep State (and getting paid hundreds of thousands to do it)- The Deep State's #1 most powerful tool to promote their ideological agenda - established under the Obama administration- And more...And, you'll learn how to fight back and take a stand for your freedoms and values - before they are systematically destroyed by the Deep State.

Almost everyone shies away from advocacy as a way to make a difference. We donate to climate change organizations, but we don't meet with a member of Congress or write a letter to the editor. We donate to groups working to end gun violence, anti-hunger organizations, groups dedicated to racial justice, and many others, but we don't become advocates on those issues beyond signing an online petition or going to an occasional rally. Why? Because most of us see advocacy as too hard or too frustrating, too complicated, or too partisan, too dirty or too time-consuming, too ineffective or too costly. But what if that's all wrong? What if deep engagement dissolves discouragement and can actually bring joy? What if you can become an advocate for a cause you care about and feel fulfilled, not frustrated? And what if engaging as an advocate is essential to protecting our democracy?President Jimmy Carter called the first edition of Reclaiming Our Democracy "A road map for global involvement in planning a better future." In this completely revised and updated 2024 edition, Sam Daley-Harris uses his decades of experience leading and coaching citizens' advocacy groups to expand that road map and create an indispensable guide to engaged citizenship, an inspiring master class in transformational advocacy.Reclaiming Our Democracy provides a powerful way to make a difference and heal our democracy in the process. It's not the only solution needed, but is one essential, missing piece: citizens awakening to their power.
"Joshua Douglas takes us behind the scenes of significant cases in voting rights--some surprising and unknown, and some familiar--to investigate the historic crossroads that have irrevocably changed our elections and the nation. In crisp and accessible prose, Douglas tells the story of each case, sheds light on the intractable election problems we face as a result, and highlights the unique role the highest court has played in producing a broken electoral system."--
