Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs) is the buzz word in the corporate world today. In a growing enterprise, the management not only wants to retain its entire working team but also desires that the members be suitably rewarded for their efforts. Thus, in addition to salaries, employees are offered ESOPs at a discounted price (generally lower than market price) for a specified period of time. Employee enthusiasm, contentment, and performance are influenced by the compensation practices (Kerr and Slocum, 1987). The compensation policy is in turn influenced by cultural aspects (Tosi, Henry L. and Greckhamer, Thomas, 2004). Culture has become an important thing in guiding different aspects of organizational behavior (Laurent, 1986). In this work the researcher is not focusing on cross-national disparities but focused on the cultural values within one society and their impact for compensation schemes. More specifically, it has been intended to scrutinize likely associations between preferred compensation policy ESOPs and cultural dimensions. The present study attempts to take a step forward in identifying and analyzing the impact of culture on employee stock options in Indian context.

This book provides a theoretical framework for design researchers interested in developing their research work about and with prototypes. It describes prototypes' multiple definitions and possible functions in the multifaceted landscape of today's design research. Indeed, while the manufacturing and digital evolutions enable and require new types of advanced prototypes, the design evolution as an academic discipline continuously widens its perspectives, fields, and research methods, among which are the prototypes' applications, features, and purposes. The framework originates from an interpretation of these interrelated phenomena and a collection of case studies. Additionally, it defines those criteria that characterize the relation between the research (context, discipline, and general scope) and the prototype (nature and specific aims) and, altogether, it presents an overview of prototypes' roles in design research.

Manuel Skrzypczak untersucht im Rahmen zweier empirischer Studien, wie sich eine variierende Produktinnovativität auf die Produktevaluation auswirkt. Eine erste Studie geht mittels zweier Experimente der Frage nach, welche Qualitätsinformationen bei der Evaluation kontinuierlicher Innovationen die Qualitätsbeurteilung und Kaufintention dominieren. Eine zweite Studie untersucht unter besonderer Berücksichtigung emotionaler und kognitiver Informationsverarbeitungsprozesse mittels eines deduktiven Textanalyseverfahrens anhand von online Produktrezensionen, wie sich der Qualitätsbeurteilungsprozess zwischen diskontinuierlichen und kontinuierlichen Innovationen unterscheidet. Beide Studien liefern Implikationen für Praktiker und Forscher, indem die relative Wirkung und Verarbeitung von Qualitätsinformationen innerhalb des Produktevaluationsprozesses in Abhängigkeit der Produktinnovativität evaluiert wird.
