Patentretten er en vigtig del af det moderne videnssamfunds retlige infrastruktur, og patenter har i dag stor betydning for både store og små virksomheder, hvad enten de er optaget af at beskytte egne opfindelser gennem udtagelse af patent, eller ønsker at undgå konflikt med andres rettigheder.Med denne 2. udgave er lovkommentaren ført ajour til og med juni 2017. Bogen fokuserer på dansk patentret, dvs. de regler i Patentloven, der regulerer udstedelsen af patenter og håndhævelsen af patentret i Danmark for danske myndigheder. Dansk Patentret sættes dog ind i europæiske og internationale sammenhænge, da der også tages højde for den vigtigste udvikling i EU-retten og hos EPO.Patentloven med kommentarer tilbyder en grundig gennemgang af den danske patentlov og samler dansk lovregulering sammenholdt med praksis og regulering i europæisk og international sammenhæng.

The Global Innovation Index 2023 (GII) takes the pulse of innovation against a background of an economic and geopolitical environment fraught with uncertainty. Tracking the most recent global innovation trends, the GII finds that - despite a climate of disquiet and a decline in risk capital investment - opportunities abound as a result of the incipient Digital Age and Deep Science innovation waves. At its core, the GII 2023 reveals who is leading in global innovation, ranking the innovation performance of 132 economies and highlighting their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, it identifies the world's top 100 science and technology clusters. The GII is a "tool for action" regarding innovation policy. Governments around the world have used the GII to benchmark innovation performance, perfect innovation metrics and, ultimately, to shape evidence-based innovation policymaking. In the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), since 2019, the GII has been recognized by the United Nations General Assembly to be a benchmark for measuring innovation, including more recently in a post-pandemic environment.

Marken stellen wirtschaftlich bedeutende Rechte dar, deren Wert häufig im Wege der Lizenzierung monetarisiert wird. Aufgrund der Zugriffsmöglichkeit in der Zwangsvollstreckung ist die Marke auch interessant für Gläubiger des Markeninhabers. Die Lizenzierung der Marke durch den Markeninhaber sowie der Zugriff auf die Marke durch dessen Gläubiger in der Zwangsvollstreckung können aufeinandertreffen. Geht eine bereits lizenzierte Marke auf einen neuen Inhaber über, greift der sog. Sukzessionsschutzes des Lizenznehmers, § 30 Abs. 5 MarkenG. Die Vorschrift regelt, dass eine vorher erteilte Lizenz von einem Rechtsübergang nicht ¿berührt" wird. Dies gilt auch für einen Rechtsübergang im Rahmen der Zwangsvollstreckung. Die Autorin untersucht welche Rechtswirkungen daraus im Einzelnen folgen.

This book is a practical guide for candidates intending to sit paper B of the European Qualifying Examination on how to respond to an office action issued by an EPO Examiner. It also provides a general introduction on the procedure up to grant of a European Patent and a detailed elaboration on how to deal with paper B of the EQE. Particularly, on the basis of the actual papers B of 2017-2019, which papers are unitary papers and no longer differentiate between the technical fields of Electricity/Mechanics and Chemistry, useful approaches and key aspects for the solving of these papers are given. In addition, examples are taken from papers of a few years before. These additional papers do differentiate between the fields of Electricity/Mechanics and Chemistry, but already anticipate on the new single papers.
