Forced Mobility of EU Citizens is a critical evaluation from an empirical perspective of existing practices of the use of transnational criminal justice instruments within the European Union. Such instruments include the European Arrest Warrant (EAW), prisoner transfer procedures and criminal law-related deportations.The voices and experiences of people transferred across internal borders of the European Union are brought to the fore in this book. Another area explored is the scope and value of EU citizenship rights in light of cooperation not just between judicial authorities of EU Member States, but criminal justice systems in general, including penitentiary institutions. The novelty of the book lays not only in the fact that it brings to the fore a topic that so far has been under-researched, but it also brings together academics and studies from different parts of Europe - from the west (i.e. the expelling countries) and the east (the receiving countries, with a special focus on two of the jurisdictions most affected by these processes - Poland and Romania). It therefore exposes processes that have so far been hidden, shows the links between sending and receiving countries, and elaborates on the harms caused by those instruments and the very idea of 'justice' behind them. This book addresses the issue of the timing of transitional justice policies in countries that had negotiated transitions from authoritarianism to democracy.Why are transitional justice measures often being implemented decades after the events they refer to? More specifically, what combination of factors leads to the implementation of transitional justice policies at certain moments in time? And, what explains countries' different choices and trajectories? To address these questions, this book pursues a comparative analysis of three cases: comparing a case of 'robust' implementation of transitional justice measures (Uruguay), a case where only victim-centered measures were approved (Spain), and a case that sits in between these two (Brazil). Through an in-depth empirical analysis of these specific country-cases, and focusing on seven different transitional justice initiatives, the book identifies the determinants behind delayed transitional justice policies and explains why such policies are more robust in some settings than in others. This book introduces the concept of the Anthropocene and examines its importance for environmental legal thinking, research and practice.Two main arguments are explored. The first is that much of the scholarship in environmental law that addresses the Anthropocene does not respond to Earth systems science or the difference in scale as we move from local to global systems. Key examples include a focus on anthropocentrism, attempts to constitutionalise environmental protections, the prevalence of legal rights and the idea of ecological integrity. The second argument is that these points of focus derive from the prevalence of idealism in environmental legal scholarship. Idealism in this context does not refer to naivety or the presentation of unrealistic goals. Rather, this book is concerned with idealism as a philosophical commitment to the power of ideas to determine reality and drive future change. As expressed in legal scholarship, this book also argues that idealism involves an abstraction from material reality and a refusal to directly engage those forces that have given rise to the Anthropocene. In response, this book uses a method of critique to uncover the presumptions and presuppositions that underlie environmental scholarship. As a counter to idealism, it also sketches out a framework for materialism in the Anthropocene.This book's engagement with these questions will appeal to undergraduate and postgraduate students in law, politics, philosophy or the ecological humanities. Cartabia).The problem of mycotoxins, and in particular of aflatoxins, which is object of this study, has been affecting many food substances and animal feed for years; therefore, it extends throughout a large part of the food chain.The latest studies, mentioned in this study demonstrate the high risk to human health in case of exposure to aflatoxin, through diary intake. The continuous introduction of aflatoxins through foods may cause, in fact, immune deficiency, as well as reduce the ability to absorb nutrients.This study also dealt with the official sampling and its methods, self-monitoring analysis, exceeding the limits established in the legislation, integrating some sanctions.

Dieses Buch untersucht die rechtlichen Fragen, die sich im Rahmen der ärztlichen Behandlung transidenter und intersexueller Minderjähriger stellen. Im ersten Teil des Werkes werden die medizinisch-biologischen Grundlagen von Transidentität und Intersexualität sowie der medizinische und gesellschaftliche Umgang mit beiden Phänomenen dargestellt. Anschließend folgt eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Bedeutung des Geschlechts im Recht und der personenstandrechtlichen Behandlung transidenter und intersexueller Personen. Im darauffolgenden Hauptteil des Werkes werden zunächst die allgemeinen Voraussetzungen rechtmäßigen ärztlichen Handelns analysiert und sodann auf die speziellen Fallgruppen der Transidentität und Intersexualität angewendet, wobei ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Indikationsstellung und die Einwilligung durch einen Minderjährigen selbst beziehungsweise durch die sorgeberechtigten Eltern gelegt wird. Zudem erfolgt eine vertiefte Analyse des § 1631e BGB.
