A Pocketful of Virtues, Book Two is an engaging and insightful rhyming book for children that introduces several impactful virtues and provides a foundation for conversations about what they mean in a child's everyday life. Book Two of the four book series introduces the following virtues: Courage, Respect, Fairness, and Honesty . Believing that virtues help to form a child's character, this book provides a way to introduce and talk about these characteristics through age appropriate examples and illustrations. Virtues are often learned through imitation and habit and unfortunately not every child has a positive family role model. Written by an admittedly fallible author, the content introduces virtues without judgment. It is the author's hope to expose more children to these virtues via other adults, educational institutions, community programs, and from their peers as well. The book does not have any religious references and is accessible and appropriate for groups of children from various cultures. A Pocketful of Virtues focuses on universal behaviors that children could aspire to that will have a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others. Recognizing that virtues can be interpreted and taught in various ways, the book is meant to provide a foundation for a thoughtful discussion with a trusted source so that the children can formulate their own ideals and behaviors. Thanks to several parents who contributed ideas, there are questions and activities at the end of the book to help explore the virtues with the child/children in a more personal way. The completed series will cover sixteen virtues; four in each book. Book One is complete and Book Two will publish in April 2021. Books three and four will publish in 2022. The following virtues will be introduced in Books Three and Four: Book Three- A Pocketful of...Responsibility * Compassion * Gratitude * GenerosityBook Four- A Pocketful of...Forgiveness * Loyalty* Authenticity * HumilityRecommended Reading LevelMinimum Age: 5Maximum Age: 10Minimum Grade Level: PMaximum Grade Level: 3

A Simple Family Breviary is a modern version of the Little Office of Saint Francis of Assisi by a parish priest trying to help families pray together. Each prayer session includes a traditional song, a psalm of the season, either a psalm of Saint Francis or a psalm from the commons of Mary and the Saints, and closing praises. The order of prayer is easy to follow and offers variety day to day and month to month, and includes a calendar of major feasts of the church year. This simple once-daily prayer is suitable for a family, the classroom, midday at work, and with co-workers. Stephen Joseph Wolf is a retired and now former parish priest of the diocese of Nashville, and Angie Bosio is Director of Youth Ministry at St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
