    Excellent book for someone looking to train a pointing dog for the first time or for someone who has some experience looking for a guide to follow. An easy read. I read through it in a couple hrs. I've read several different training books from top trainers looking for a good plan or guide & came up with a plan of my own using these different methods to fit my style. Later, I found and read this book only to find it is spot on with my plans for training my new German Shorthair pup. I'll be using it as a reference while I train this pup into a hunting dog.

    This book is fantastic. Get over the "it's cruel to the dog" No it isn't. We all love our animals but why wouldn't you want to have this added protection in that OH S#!T!! Moment. Even the best trained dog might chase that rabbit, deer, squirrel etc. Do you have to keep it on forever? Yes. And why not? By the way you should watch all Larry's videos on YouTube and learn how to train a dog right. This book and his videos will elevate your skills and relationship with your dog. I love Larry wish he was closer to Colorado because I'd love to train my dog on a much higher level. I'm at the top of my skill set and my 13 month old Dobie can learn so much more. Thanks Larry you've helped me more than you know.
