The holidays have arrived in Downtown Strawbridge and Melissa Stathem's Café Flamingo is hopping. Her catering business is humming. And a new food truck is in her future. Love is not in the picture and she's perfectly fine with that. But after the new psychic in town predicted that Melissa's true love is someone she already knows, the Divas of Downtown Strawbridge decide to help her find out who he is by setting her up with the best possible candidates. Romantic dinners and picnics in the park aren't on the menu, however. After Melissa recently put them through a series of wacky ghost challenges, the Divas feel a bit of playful revenge is in order. Throw her high school crush and new landlord, Ryan Duval, into the mix-not the one who got away, but the one she never got-and Melissa's holidays become crazier than ever. From one zany, and a tad humiliating, date to the next, Melissa grudgingly goes along, all the while wondering if true love is actually possible for a work-obsessed person like herself.
It was always Magnolia. Only Magnolia would do... Bobby Jack Beaumont has been forgetting for as long as Magnolia has known him. It was easy to let him do it--nobody wanted to remember those things. Now he's out in the scrub by the railroad tracks, lost and empty. He's forgotten all of it--everything. Even Magnolia. If she reminds him, if she tells it just so... they can fix the past and he'll come home again. But not every bad thing can be fixed by telling a different story.
Can a nerd zombie in recovery and a beautiful young vampire find love despite society's taboo against inter-undead dating and still fight off a vampire plot to hack the heads off the zombies and take over the world? Probably not. Zombie Revolution...has it all! Zombies. Vampires. High school. Zombies pulling vampires apart. Vampires whacking the heads off zombies. Teen angst. Vampires sucking the blood out of every living thing they see, even old people! Suburbia. Chihuahuas (...okay, one Chihuahua). Poison, conspiracy, Frankenstein monsters. Congenital generalized hypertrichosis terminalis. Zombies falling in love with vampires. Kissing! It's awful! And it's all in there...
Six months after being dumped by the love of her life, Sophie Childers just wants to go back to her old life. She was happy spending her days at her grandfather's shop, Bookish, and her nights curled up with her cats and a good book. But once Reese Fuller stumbles into her life-or she tumbles into his-she is suddenly caught up in the social life, brunching with the Downtown Divas (the boss girls she never considered friendship material before), playing matchmaker to nerds, starting up The Great Antiques War of Historic Downtown Strawbridge and worse, desperately trying to find homes for her darling colony of stray cats before Reese chases them off with his new-store renovations. Can a cross-genre kind of girl really let herself fall for a cat-hating thriller reader?
Psychologist Pari Logan does not believe in ghosts. When Ghost Whisperer Sam Preston shows up claiming her office is haunted by the famous ghost of Downtown Strawbridge, she wants nothing to do with him or his ghost-hunting nonsense. But all of Downtown Strawbridge is caught up in ghost hysteria. Worse, her friend Melissa Stathem has a ghost story of her own and isn't happy to be teased about it. Before she can say, "Boo!" Pari finds herself drawn into Melissa's challenge to the Downtown Divas: Attend all the Ghost Whisperer's events and if they still don't believe in ghosts by Halloween, she'll stop pestering them. Being thrown constantly into the path of the Ghost Whisperer who, for some reason, she keeps kissing, is the last thing Pari needs. No, what she needs is a man who is her type: professional, serious, and rational. A man like gorgeous Eric Lawson. Who will win Pari's logical heart? The perfect guy? Or the one she caught on his hands and knees peering under office door looking for a ghost?
