As you read in this book, you will see details of what happened during this period of time. Completely destroyed my life and alienated everyone around me. I was moving from city-to-city, lover to lover, bar to bar, job to job. About the author I was blessed with good schooling and became a certified court reporter at the age of 21 and worked hard all my life. Also helping to develop real-time closed captioning equipment for the hearing impaired and working on the many high-profile jobs. During this period of time my drinking took me to places that took away any promise of a good life or a marriage or children which I have never had to this day. Backyard Beekeeping Business Strat Up How to Start, Run & Grow a Million Dollar Organic Honey Business From Home!I first got exposed to the idea of beekeeping back in 2005 by my next door neighbors. They were doing it right in their backyard, and according to them, they were making a decent side income from it. As our third child was on the way, I was trying to figure out a way to make some extra income and yes I dove right into this business without knowing anything about bees. But I knew if I set my mind up to do something I would do it till the end. Little did I know that this would literally change my whole life for many years to come.Long story short, I started out from my backyard, and in two years, after creating a successful partnership with my neighbor, we opened up a bee farm and had a huge success. The business grew every year by 15%-20% from the previous year. Last year we suddenly had an unexpected offer from a big name honey producing company to sell our farm. After a month long debate and discussion between family and partners, we started the negotiation process, and I am happy to report that we were able to sell our farm for a good profit. This book is not about my success but yours, I want you to read this book with an open mind and think about the possibility of having your own beekeeping business. This book is the direct result of those 11 years' experience in beekeeping and bee farming. I may not be the ultimate authority in this field but what I share in this book is what I learned over those 11 years. This is pure and honest knowledge, maybe a bit raw at times. Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2019 in the subject Psychology - Miscellaneous, Universidad de Oriente in Santiago de Cuba (Faculty of Social Sciences), course: Social Psychology and Brain Science, language: English, abstract: The application of Virtual Reality (VR) has an increasing capacity to simulate everyday environments. It provides multimodal sensory stimulations that have the ability to influence the human brain to correct neurological and cognitive rehabilitation/behavioral disorders. The purpose of this research is to determine how Virtual Reality (VR) could aid the quest to eliminate or reduce mental disorders/the effects of brain injuries. The outcome suggests that appropriate applications of VR can lead the human brain to improve/reverse neurological activities that lead to mental disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer¿s and brain injuries caused by accident or strokes. Cognitive rehabilitation and behavioral therapists would benefit from the application of VR to improve the therapeutic experiences of brain injury or anxiety disorder patients. The coming together of involved parties such as individuals, society, manufacturers of VR technology, neurosurgeons, neurologists and social psychology are paramount to the success of this considered approach to eliminate/reduce various types of mental disorders.
Scientific Study from the year 2014 in the subject Communications - Interpersonal Communication, Universidad de Oriente in Santiago de Cuba (Psychology), language: English, abstract: There appears to be a relationship between the latest communications technology and how effectively young people communicate. It is a world-wide phenomenon. This research investigates how young people in the Czech Republic communicate today in an era of increased use of social media and mobile technology. The research was limited to the city of Olomouc. Results suggest that face to face communications by and amongst young people are diminishing fast at the expense of social media such as Facebook and What¿s App and sending SMS text messages. This trend could have adverse effects in future on how well young and older people live and work together within their communities. The outcome of this research suggests that proactive steps should be taken now to educate young people in the appropriate use of mobile technology and social media. It would ensure that they retain their ability to communicate effectively not just with their peer groups but also with other age groups and with people from other cultures. Social \Psychology/Psychology needs to take a much more proactive role to address this issue so that the lives of people at all ages can be improved. The outcomes of this research should be of interest to other countries, too, as this phenomenon is not limited to the Czech Republic. Keywords: Effective Communication, Communication Style, Attitude and Behaviour, Social Media, Mobile Technology
The book offers a starter-pack with suggested performance metrics to get the reader on the road to measuring the success of innovation and to encourage readers to develop how they view and feel about measuring the success of innovation.
Presentation (Handout) from the year 2012 in the subject Sociology - Culture, Technology, Nations, , course: Managing People in Project Environments, language: English, abstract: Many companies already operate in a number of foreign countries. More are following each year. The concept of 'global working' has become an accepted modus operandi for more and more companies both in the United Kingdom and other countries. As a result, people at all levels within their organisations have opportunities to work with people from other countries. This is not an easy task and brings with it some cultural difficulties. These need to be managed carefully and with due consideration to everyone involved. Working with people whose values and beliefs are different from your own, can often lead to costly misunderstandings and even business failures. However, when successfully managed, differences in culture can lead to innovative business practices and faster and better learning within the organisation. People will get on better with their colleagues from other countries once they have learned more about cultural differences. They will learn that their own views are not the only ones, and that the variety of views coming from the different cultures can actually lead to better business solutions that are good for the benefit of everyone.
Presentation (Handout) from the year 2007 in the subject Sociology - Work, Education, Organisation, , course: Project Management Seminar, Ramzova, Czech Republic, September 2007, language: English, abstract: The management of feelings in projects is important. Project managers who recognise this and act accordingly, are more likely to deliver their projects successfully. Managing emotions in projects is of particular importance due to the nature of projects. They are temporary organisations that often consist of a mixture of people from both inside and outside of the organisation. Project managers often do not exercise direct line management responsibility over these so they need to manage the emotions of people over which they have no control. This variety of human beings such as contractors, vendors and so on, needs emotionally-aware project managers who are 'strong in interpersonal skills, knowing how to create an environment where people feel valued and motivated to contribute to their maximum potential, and where problems are considered challenges and errors are considered learning experiences (Verma, 1996). It is, therefore, essential that project managers in the Project-oriented society become competent in managing the feelings of people well within their projects.
Thesis (M.A.) from the year 1999 in the subject Sociology - Work, Education, Organisation, grade: Pass, Lancaster University, language: English, abstract: This dissertation discusses the importance of strategic people project management in critical cultural change projects. Appropriate people management in projects is as important as the application of tools and techniques. People make things happen. Their input into the delivery of goals and objectives is essential. These can be achieved by sharing knowledge, good communications and working as one team. I argue that nobody is perfect but a team can be. People in projects really matter. Tools and techniques assist project managers to manage their projects better but they are not a panacea to successful project management. They are simply there to be used as means to assist the project manager to manage his projects better. My approach to strategic people project management proved highly effective to bring together the people elements of this project. Project Managers should familiarise themselves with and adopt the learning outcomes of this dissertation and consider applying these in their projects in future.
Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2008 in the subject Sociology - Work, Education, Organisation, grade: Keine, , course: Happy Projects '08, Vienna, May 2007, language: English, abstract: Project management competences are essential for the successful management of work packages in today¿s global business environments. Associated skills such as influencing others, negotiating and the planning and organizing of activities are vital for those who wish to be effective at whatever they do. This is not limited to the work place. These skills are fully transferable to most life and work situations. As such, skills can be used at school, college, university and in private life. These skills should be taught to young students much earlier. This paper investigates the level of project management that is currently being taught at Secondary Grammar/Gymnasium/Sixth Form schools in the UK, Austria and the Czech Republic. It appears that project management is taught at a relatively small number of selective schools only and that there is a lot of scope and interest to teach young students the essential principles and skills of project management as early as 14 years of age. The outcome of this research suggests that it is desirable that young students are given the opportunity to learn more about project management competences and skills so they can learn and apply these in their educational, working and private lives.

Presentation (Handout) from the year 2007 in the subject Sociology - Work, Education, Organisation, , course: Project Management Days '07,Vienna, September 2007, language: English, abstract: The working day of project managers has changed. Today's working environments place higher demands on project managers. More is expected in less time, with fewer people and to higher quality standards. Project Managers need to push their teams and themselves harder to achieve the expected results. They need to adopt new or improved working with people competences and associated behaviours to be successful in their endeavours. I will discuss what project managers typically do, what they need to do in future and how they can achieve the desired results.
