Today's world is characterized by fear, anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and melancholy. It is surrounded by various kinds of fears - pandemic deaths, fear of war, our existence, and survival. On this backdrop, the only thing that uplifts human beings is PEACE. We need not only outer peace but also inner peace. Literature is the only thing that can provide peace in this new world of chaos.Since ancient times, literature has worked as a catalyst for peace-making and has been creating the ray of hope when the whole world is deconstructed. The prayers and prose have worked magic on the minds for ages. And it can be done only by literature. The only magic can be done through art and literature to change the world from melancholy to HOPE.This Conference and Lit Fest is a solemn attempt to meditate on how the urge for peace is presented in various forms of Art and Literature.

Preaching is a small part of the work to be done for the salvation of souls. God's Spirit convicts sinners of the truth, and He places them in the arms of the church. The ministers may do their part, but they can never perform the work that the church should do. This book called "Temperance" (BIG Print (A4) Original Text Edition without inclusive language) was a favorite theme of Mrs. Ellen G. White, both in her writings and in public discourse. In many of her articles which appeared in denominational journals through the years, and in manuscripts and letters of counsel addressed to both workers and laity, she urged Seventh-day Adventists to practice temperance and to promote vigorously the temperance cause. In response to earnest requests that this wealth of material and instruction should be made available in a single volume, this handbook has been prepared by authorization of the Ellen G. White publications, to whom Mrs. White committed the custody of her books and manuscripts. These selections have been drawn from the whole range of Mrs. White's writings on this subject, including some now out of print, such as the following: Health, or How to Live (1865); Christian Temperance and Bible Hygiene (1890); Special Testimonies (1892- 1912); and Drunkenness and Crime (1907).Both in the outline and in the content of subject matter, the compilers have earnestly sought to reflect the emphasis which the author placed on the various phases of temperance.

In answer to Ellen White's historic 1891 testimony her son James Edson White began evangelistic and educational work among Southern Blacks, using a missionary boat that plied the Mississippi River. Ellen White produced an ongoing series of testimonies on this subject, which Edson gathered up and published in 1898 and 1901. This reprint of that work, with the inclusion of additional material, reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, and one in the Spirit.

Thoughts From the Mount of Blessings is a rich commentary on the greatest sermon ever preached. It offers a study and commentary on the key verses of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Included are the Beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer, and much of Jesus' other instruction. In particular, it focuses on how to live here on earth with our fellow man and to prepare for citizenship in Jesus' new kingdom in heaven.
