Suspended is the debut novel of Geraldine Davis. It is a contemporary urban love story, centered around Naturallee Joy, whose life was interrupted and on hold every since her mentally ill mother abandoned her and her 12 siblings to escape the demons that tormented her and robbed her of her peace and joy. During her journey, Naturallee Joy's mother finds deliverance, peace, love and joy, but she dies before she is able to reunite and share this new found state of peace with her children. In an odd twist of fate, Naturallee Joy meets a man that holds the key to her past, which opens the door to her future. Through this mysterious encounter she is not only freed from the isolation of her past, she discovers, why her mother left, is reunited with her siblings and stands to inherit more money than she could ever count, but only if she can live in her step-father's estate for twelve consecutive months.
