Can a beautiful journalist love a man so much that she gives him up and settles for Mr. Almost Right? The Carpenters' faith in God sees them through life's trials, and Carrie is the oldest of five children born into this affluent Mormon family in Midway, Utah. After finishing graduate school, she lands a job with a large newspaper in New York City, largely because of the reputation of her family's publishing business. She feels that she must succeed in order to prove she can be a successful journalist without the need to rely on her family name. Carrie's family and friends tease her about her bad luck with dating and especially her Pollyanna attitudes about 'forever after' and finding her own Prince Charming. Still, she feels there's a man God has meant for her. She just hopes she'll find him before she qualifies for social security! Luckily, she manages to make her way to an international desk assignment, never guessing how it would change her life. Follow the Carpenters in this six-book series and watch the family tree change as you spend time with each of the members of the Carpenter family-Grace Carpenter took over running the family publishing business after her husband John's death and has gallantly fulfilled her role as the matriarch of the family. Carrie, Chelsea, Carter and Cassie are John and Grace's natural children. Courtney was adopted into the family at age 7 following the death of her mother. Chelsea and Carter have a unique relationship as twins, and Chelsea and Courtney work in the family publishing business. Carrie is a journalist in New York, and Carter is an architect in San Francisco. Cassie is a novelist (after all, it's easy for her to get published!). My promise to readers of my romance novels: You will always find in my books good, clean stories devoid of bad language or graphic sex scenes, with characters who acknowledge their faith in God and demonstrate good Christian values in spite of the challenges they face. 5-STAR REVIEW: When I first opened the book, I assumed it would be like any other romance. Thankfully, I was wrong! The characters in Sacrifice are compelling, real, and relatable, and the story takes unexpected turns that will keep any reader turning pages. What results is a fascinating story that actually drove me to care about the characters and invest myself in the outcomes of their lives. The author's style is easygoing but concise, easily drawing readers in and providing for an immersive and enjoyable experience. I'd encourage anyone to give this book a try -- it's a pleasant read and a great introduction to the Carpenter family series. -Carrie Ott 5-STAR REVIEW: This romance gives us a young woman who experiences a great deal of life and love but remains true to herself and her beliefs, even through temptation and heartache. It's not love that hurts, but the loss of love. Chelsea Carpenter learns of her fiancé's death in Iraq while choosing her wedding dress, just weeks before Clark was due home. Her 'happily-ever-after' was not to be. She could never love again. Devastated and broken-hearted, Chelsea tries to escape by throwing herself into her work at the Carpenter family's publishing business, the only other love of her life aside from her family. Before and after work she hides herself away in a condo in the mountains above Sundance where no one stops by to interrupt her self-imposed exile from the world. She only ventures out to attend church, pick up groceries, and see her family. They worry that after two years she still cannot move on, but are helpless to find a way to bring her out of her shell. If anyone can do it, Carter, her twin brother can. Just imagine that you are a 26-year-old, beautiful publishing executive who has absolutely no interest in any man because you firmly believe your fiancé was your one and only true love in this life. What would you do when situations continue to arise that throw you directly into the path of a new gorgeously handsome employee, one that makes your heart flutter and your palms sweat each time you see him? To acknowledge an interest in another man would be to betray your fiancé, right? What Readers are Saying About The Carpenter Chronicles: This was a delightful story. I really had no idea how it would develop but I dove right in. It was hard to put down! I appreciated reading about a successful young woman who held true to her values and standards. It is not often enough in a contemporary setting that you read about that. It is very easy to write a period piece from some time in the past where the young woman doesn't have any problem maintaining her standards. However, it is much more difficult to make a believable, interesting story that is contemporary where a woman maintains high standards.--L.H. Hatton When I first opened the book, I assumed it would be like any other romance. Thankfully, I was wrong! The characters and the storyline were well written and I really liked how she described a lot of things, making you feel like you are there. SURVIVAL - CARTER'S STORY, THE CARPENTER CHRONICLES BOOK 4, A CHRISTIAN ROMANCE Always clean, always appropriate for all ages our romance stories are filled with faith, family, and finding love and more. SURVIVAL, CARTER'S STORY is the fourth book in the Christian romance series The Carpenter Chronicles written by bestselling author Janice Limb Myers. In this series, you'll enjoy the stories of the Carpenter family headed by matriarch Grace Carpenter, also the CEO of the family publishing business. Each book in the series addresses the challenges and rewards of living the Christian life. Carter is the twin of Chelsea, both 26-years-old. He attended school in the Los Angeles area, majoring in Architecture and finished his Master's degree at Stanford. By age 25 he was employed by a large architectural firm in the heart of San Francisco. He loved living there and often traveled home to Heber City, Utah for engagement parties, weddings, and other family events. The oldest of his siblings, Carter hadn't waited to get married; he simply hadn't run into anyone who made the sparks fly. Carter is very close to his mother, Grace, and although he doesn't work in the family publishing business, he looks out for his mother and sisters since the sudden death of their father on the ski slopes of Park City. He grew up in a happy home with horses, but his favorite interests were cars and skiing, following in his father's footsteps. Carter nearly has it all at home and in his condo...an attentive, loving family, a great job he loves in San Francisco, all the physical comforts of life and wonderful memories, particularly of his father and family events. The one thing he doesn't have is someone with whom he wants to share his life through eternity, to be the mother of his children, and a loving, supportive wife. All his sisters are now married or at least engaged. Maybe. Someday. For now, he's focused on his career and his family back home in Utah. Then he takes a lunch break from work just to run to the nearby café for a grilled cheese sandwich. Surprised does not describe what Carter felt when he entered the café to find the wife of a college roommate crying. Will getting involved after so many years allow his heart to SURVIVE? Worse yet, will his family survive if they can't outsmart the goons threatening to kill someone they love? Snuggle up in a comfy chair with something good to drink, and spend a couple of hours with Carter as he explores a whole new world far from his roots in a devoutly Christian home.

SALVATION - Courtney's Story is the third book in the Christian romance series The Carpenter Chronicles written by bestselling author Janice Limb Myers, previously a missionary. In this series you'll enjoy the stories of the Carpenter family lead by matriarch Grace Carpenter, also the CEO of the family publishing business. Just when she thinks she's finally getting her adult life together, she gets news that would turn her whole world upside down and call into question her very identity. Courtney has made no secret at work of the fact that she wants to transfer from the home office in Utah where her adoptive mother is the CEO and be able to run a branch office in a much more exciting city like Dallas or San Francisco, New York City, possibly even a foreign assignment. Just a bit more experience and she should be ready for the promotion. But she should know from the life she's already had that hers is not one to follow a plan. Her apple cart is about to be tipped over and then over again making her focus on one very basic question: Who am I really? Until she can answer that questions, the dream job in a big city will be out of the question. Only her adoptive mother, Grace, holds the key to the 'dirty little secret' that is dogging Courtney. When Grace spills the beans, can Courtney live with her new reality and still move forward?
