"All Things Work Together for Good" was my first novel. Initially, it started on Facebook. I posted the first chapter. Jokingly, I made the comment, "here is the first chapter to my first novel." Several people responded and challenged me to finish it. I followed through only to write nine other novels since then. "All Things Work Together for Good," is faith-based. While a fiction, it takes place during the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Some of the stories written were truly based on personal testimonies. When reading this work, I encourage you to pay attention to the symbolism shared. For instance, Julie encounters Jesus three times. The question begs to be asked, "What is so significant about the number three?" The answer is Biblical. Jesus questioned Peter three times regarding his love for the Lord. This is significant. Julie had to encounter Christ three times before she understood the concept of forgiveness. Like 9/11, no one knows what to expect or when to expect it. Though it is a faith-based work, it also a drama, a love story, and a book for the reader to ponder. This work has several twists and turns. Yes, there are some surprises. The real shocker, though, comes at the end. For me to say anything from this point is to say everything. I pray you enjoy this work. More importantly
"The author captures every aspect of a great novel. It has action, suspense, romance, drama, faith mixed in with fact and fiction. The way he incorporates all aspects is intriguing." - Mr. Adams, High School Teacher The end times; a bomb more powerful than the atomic bomb; time traveler -- are they possible? Who knows? But if you were given a chance, how would you rewrite history?
No Holds Barred: No Holding Back" is a personal testimony. When I first sat down to write, I made two promises. The first was to be open and honest about who I was and what I did. For years, I felt as if I were wearing a mask: as if I was not genuine as a person, a parent, and as a pastor. The skeletons I buried resurfaced. Trust me, this promise was demanding, especially when you are forced to face the truth about who you are. Many times, I wanted to stop writing the book in its entirety or alter some scenes. But I couldn't. The second promise was to come to terms with the truth. Despite how hard I wanted to be the young man again, when everything was said and done, I came to this simple conclusion: "God cannot undo what has been done." The battle to discern whether I was genuine, a genius, or someone who learned how to disguise his true nature came to rest.
A romance for all ages. A young mercenary seeks repentance for the wrongs he committed. In the process, he discovers the meaning of repentance, romance, and a renewed life.
"I Existed" is a very compelling story, lots of plot twists and waves of emotions...suicide, incest, teenage pregnancy, rage, love, hate, forgiveness...The author pretty much covered it all! It is an easy read but I have to be honest, I'm not sure I like the ending I understand the point the author made, but it left me with no closure. All in all, I enjoyed reading the book but did not find it difficult to read because of the subject matter. If the author took thestory line and wrapped it around the decision during the weeks prior to her decision, that option is a viable one, From my perspective, the idea of abortion at the point of delivery is not even a possibility. - Marty Cline
Originally, "The Whispering Woods" started out as a single work. However, friends encouraged me to continue it as a series. What started out as one work quickly became a trilogy. It was my intention to write each piece independent of one another. That is, the reader did not have to read one without reading the other. Publishers encouraged me to combine all three works into one. "The Mitchells' Mystery," as it is now known, is a murder mystery. A serial-killer is on the loose. The tranquility of a wooded area has been compromised. Twenty plus bodies have been unearthed beneath its foliage. Detectives are quick to respond and unravel these crimes against humanity. There is one problem. One is potentially the killer. In the end, it is for the reader to decide. In the end, there are more questions than answers. "The Mitchells' Mystery" leads itself to the possibility of another sequel.
Whispers in the Willows is about people who exaggerate the truth without truly exploring the truth. Jesus clearly declares to His followers to "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." (Matthew 7:1-2 NKJV) Based on this simple statement, Whisper in the Willows depicts the people of a small Midwest town who are so ensnared in spreading rumors about an elderly gentleman who lives at the end of a dead-end street, they never take time to learn the history of this old man. It is not until a young couple moves into an old farm house next to this old-timer, Woody, that they begin to unearth the secrets of his past and resulting pains. In the process, the couple, as well as the rest of the townspeople, come to appreciate Woody for all that he contributed to the community; as well as coming together to help bury his pains of antiquity.
