The letter to the Galatians is Paul's response addressing an opposing Christian faith practice defined in the letter of James the brother of Jesus. James proposed that the Law of God as administered by Moses was to continue into the New Testament era endeavoring to control the regional turmoil that arose from Paul's first missionary journey. Paul is arguing in Galatians that the era of Moses had sunset and unnecessary in the New Covenant whereas James disagreed. The correction within the letter allows the reader to gain valuable insight into the birthplace of the multi-dimensional Christian community today and reorients the believer back to the singular teaching of the New Covenant faith practice.
