This is a book of expressions; a series of short stories, sometimes set to rhyme. They provide the opportunity to express emotions in a way that doesn't require the complexity of characters or plots.These poems are snapshots of experiences memorialized in creative words to convey an observation, a hidden meaning.Messages come in different ways and through various means. Nature has messages, stories, tales, to share if we're open to seeing and hearing. I'm a visual person. The beauty of nature speaks to me through colors, hues, shadows and reflections.We are all part of nature. We are the human representation of inanimate objects. Our mind and spirit can take us to places only the birds can reach; if we are open to the possibilities.My poems capture nature's message. They are very personal and moving. They are my stream of consciousness.

Teachers and administrators are two of the gatekeepers of the vital mission to impart practical knowledge on young and impressionable hearts and minds.As the fabric of society changes along with priorities and preferences, it is imperative to ensure educators and caretakers are equipped with the training and ongoing support to do their job effectively and efficiently for all children regardless of race, color, religion, sexual preference, nationality, physical appearance, physical or emotional disability, gender identity, etc. This concept is not the exclusive domain of lesson curriculum or physical objects and teaching tools required to implement required/mandated education goals. A critical foundational element for successful educators and caregivers is thorough understanding of unconditional equality, diversity and inclusion and indoctrination of these three key principles in the lives of people entrusted with the care and well-being of their charges.Start with a simple concept, a person is a person is a person. Any qualifiers you choose to place on people may unwittingly serve to erect walls of bias, regardless whether intentional or unintentional. Bias is learned and can only serve to place blinders on our ability to expand our level of knowledge and understanding thus stifling innovation and making us residents of our self-constructed walls.Educators and caregivers face sometimes daunting challenges because of the variety in their student body. This places teachers, administrators and caregivers on the forefront of the opportunity curve to build in themselves and in their students, the ability to view the world through a clear lens and to utilize every moment to open themselves to learning about others, promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion; marveling in the wonders of diversity.

Following the directions in these guides will enable you to understand what you, the employer, can do to support a healthy transition process, to address your concerns and questions and to help you, your transgender employee and your workforce learn, understand and support their colleague. Working together openly and honestly will also fulfill any legal obligation you may have to all of your employees. Planning and thoughtful execution should enable you and your organization to attract and retain quality employees and to emerge from this process with a reasonable likelihood of success.

The man makes stoic people look like they have attention deficit disorder. Amelia struggles through the juggling act of husband, family, and work. Sometimes she drops one of the balls. That's when wit and sarcasm cover up her failing.Amelia's professional life is replete with anecdotes of a loving family, engaging neighbors, testosterone-filled bosses and co-workers under tremendous pressure to perform in an atmosphere that is sometimes comical and other times too tense for normal people.
