As soon as the haunted house moves into town, trouble surrounds it. When there is a problem, Mama and Cookie are there to solve it, or more like Mama convinces Cookie to take on the case. But what should be a simple case turns into much more when a gruesome body is found in the haunted house. With new suspects at every turn, it will take all of Mama's and Cookie's smarts to solve this one. Everywhere Mama goes, there is a mystery to be found and solved. What should have been simple enough turns into a full blown mystery. With car rentals, money, and family involved can Mama and Cookie solve this mystery before it is too late?
The annual Fall Fair is one of the biggest social events held in town by the church. But what's even bigger? The pie contest held at the Fall Fair, and Maven Simmons is determined to win it this year. Of course, as her daughter, Beulah "Cookie" Simmons, will do everything in her power to support her Mama in the contest. Even if it means taste tasting everything and entering the church's fashion show. But what Beulah doesn't expect is for there to be a mystery at the Fall Fair! Fights are breaking out between the pie ladies, secrets are around every corner, arguments over money, and worse of all, Mama is accused of murder at the Fall Fair! Can Cookie and her siblings come together and solve the mystery to prove that Mama is innocent? Or will Mama have to finally share her sweet potato pie recipe from behind bars? One thing Mama and Cookie know, this is certainly a fair to remember!
This last time, Roger Tillman promised himself that he would never see the inside of a jail again. He had seen too many of them since he was seventeen, and at thirty-two, he had too many people counting on him not to go back, namely his four-year-old daughter. But you can't fight your nature, and an easy con is something Roger can't resist especially when it comes to making large sums of money. When a high-profile murder case splashes across the news and the victim's sister offers a cash reward to whoever can solve the murder, Roger thinks it's the perfect opportunity to use some of his old tricks to get the money. Even if it gets him killed...
Beulah "Cookie" Simmons wasn't excited about the church's annual Valentine's Day dance. But that changes when she is asked on a date. A starry night, soft music, and a little romance? It sounds like the perfect combination for a memorable evening. The dance and Cookie's date is everything she could hope for...except for the dead body. What does Cookie do when a mystery pops up? Of course, she calls her Mama. Can Mama and Cookie solve this Valentine's Day mystery? Or will they be too late to stop a murderer from leaving a string of broken (candy) hearts and dead bodies in their wake?
The case of a rich housewife's missing dog seems like an easy case for Roger Tillman and his agency to solve. It's uncomplicated and she's offering a big cash reward for her prize-winning dog. But suddenly, what should have been a simple case of finding a missing dog becomes very complicated when multiple dead bodies start to show up and the case takes a turn that neither Roger nor the rest of the guys ever saw coming. As they race against the clock to solve who is the killer, Roger and his crew find themselves drawn deeper into a complex world of drugs, politics, and murder.
Ahhh, good food, family and friends, stylish clothes, and candy. What more could you ask for on Easter? Well... maybe you could hope that you don't find a body during an Easter egg hunt. That would be nice. But Beulah "Cookie" Simmons should have known that things weren't going to be simple. Of course, she and her mother, Maven Simmons, would find a case to solve on Easter. What should have been a peaceful Sunday full of fun and relaxation has quickly turned into a mystery when a local church member's body is found. Now, shady business partners, a broken-hearted wife, and suspicious money dealings have Mama and Cookie wary of everyone. Will they be able to solve this case and bring some much needed peace to the people involved, or will this case be harder to crack open than a candy-filled Easter egg?
When Maven and Beulah "Cookie" Simmons are asked to investigate missing items at an auto repair shop, they think nothing of it. However, suddenly they find themselves in a mystery that they didn't expect. Surprisingly the auto shop masks more mystery than either one of them thought. With murder, lies, and secrets around every corner, can Mama and Cookie solve this mystery in time to ride off into the sunset? Or will they find themselves on a collision course that no one expected?
When Beulah "Cookie" Simmons gets the flu, she thinks nothing of it. Sure, she's miserable and wishes it was over but...it's the flu. When her mother takes her to the local doctor's office, she thinks that she will get some medicine to help her feel better. What Beulah doesn't expect is for them to find the body of one of the most hated people in town on the bathroom floor. She should have known that it couldn't be as simple as going to the doctor for the flu. Not when it comes to her mother and mysteries. Maven Simmons is on the case, searching, investigating, and asking questions to everyone in the building. Surrounded by potential suspects and the hours slowly creeping by, will Cookie and Mama be able to solve this murder before it is too late? Or will they find themselves stuck, sick, and suffering an uncertain fate?
While Beulah "Cookie" Simmons might not like doing dishes, she still loves Thanksgiving. Family, food, and fun. What more could you ask for? Especially when her mother, Maven Simmons, is doing all the cooking. But what should be a simple run to the bank turns into much more when Mama and Cookie find themselves stuck in a sticky situation, namely a bank robbery! Thanksgiving is certainly not going the way Mama or Cookie planned. Will they be able to get out of this situation before it turns deadly, or will they not make it home in time to take the turkey out of the oven?
It is Halloween night in Beulah "Cookie" Simmons's home town, and she is beyond excited because it is one of her favorite holidays. But there is something strange about this Halloween, and it becomes even more bizarre when Beulah's brother, James, comes bursting into the house to tell her and her mother, Maven Simmons, that he and his friends have found a body in the town's graveyard! Cookie and Mama are immediately on the case but discover that the body is missing when they arrive at the graveyard. It seems like there are more questions than answers, and with ghosts popping up at every turn, Mama and Cookie will have to use all their smarts to solve this one. Will Mama and Cookie be able to solve this mystery and figure out who was in the graveyard? Or will it be too late and the murderer will find their next victim on this Halloween night?
When Maven and Beulah "Cookie" Simmons decide that they are going to throw a birthday party for James, they never thought that it would lead to another case! When trouble happens with the local lothario, it's up to Mama and Cookie to help him. Between party planning, lovers' quarrels, stolen plants, and jail will Mama and Cookie solve this murder in time for James to have his big party? Or will it be too late for the two of them and they find it lights out?
Everything should have been perfect. Maven and Beulah "Cookie" Simmons are headed to a family reunion, but when Mama gets an unsettling call from her sister, they decide to delay those plans and detour to her house. What is supposed to be a simple visit turns into much more when Mama and Cookie discover a body and Mama's sister is accused of murder. With suspects around every corner, cryptic files, a creepy town, and secrets hidden in the trees, Mama and Cookie will have to work overtime to solve this case. Will Mama and Cookie find the murderer in time to make it to the family reunion and sing Christmas songs? Or is it (Christmas) lights out for them?
