Turning 60 was Aunti Patricia's biggest shock. "You're an old woman," she said to herself. "I am NOT!" she replied. Patricia Ogilvie writes through AuntiSays and this 4th inspirational coloring book for adults is one of her best work. She shares her life experiences with her sister and for all the wonderful women out there. This Please God purse sized coloring book for adults was born out of her creativity and experience from the last 6 decades. The combination of the coloring book craze and her best life advice shines through. These gems you are about to hold in your hands touch the soul. It has bold and wild life lessons; some learned by accident; some by reading; all by living them. A couple of pages could rub you strong. . . oh yeah. Enjoy..
"What is one thing you could do daily, to help you get used to just doing your own thing and not caring about what others thought?" I asked myself this question every day for a very long time. You see, I was afraid of what others thought about me for most of my life. I decided to share my story and write this book. You have stories too. How often did you wish you could grab your teddy bear, turn your back, and walk away feeling confident you couldn't care less what someone just did or said? Often? then this book's for you.
Do you know what alcohol does to the body? To the heart? To the brain? I needed to learn how damaging this silent killer is. I puked once too many times. So again, I quit. Was it easy? Yes. Don't believe me? My story is genuinely miraculous. Whether you drink a little or a lot, whether your alcohol tolerance is weak or not, research shows that the amount of alcohol you consume doesn't reflect damage done to your brain, heart, liver, psyche and attitude. But it's there!
"I wish I knew what I know now, when I was younger." - Rod Stewart No matter what our age, if we knew then what we should have done with our money, most of us would have done something different to keep our future financial security in "cheque". But not all of us were that sure what to do. Including me. "Grab a brain!" I used to hear this in my own home. I laugh because I know precisely what was happening and with whom when the phrase was suggested. I think you can relate. However, what I'm suggesting is we should use the phrase "Grow a brain!" instead. Our brains are intricate learning tools, and if not kept limbered with open-mindedness and eagerness to find out more about how to live better lives, we will suffer with loneliness, desperation, debt and fear. Avoiding responsibility of developing new brain capabilities keeps us repeating past patterns, and blocks us from becoming more creative and conscious of better lives, better money. In other words, if you want to change you have to change your brain. In order to do that, you have to keep expanding your experiences. Ask good questions. You know yourself. Or do you? Imagine for a second that most of the money that runs through your fingers, stays with you, stays in your bank account. Can you imagine this? I hope so, because when you believe it, those thoughts and corresponding feelings about money are the glue that either supports you to keep money or you retreat from it. If each time you are asked about or are reminded about money, the first notion that pops into your head is, money flows through me like a bad case of diarrhea. What, not you? All right. Just in case, let's change that mental image once and for all.
