It's history mixed with personal testimonies, difficulties and adventure all mixed together, and the story of a little boy growing up in that time. . .

Deception is as old as time. Deception leads to sin and sin leads to destruction. In this book we examine some of the great deceptions in history, how they came about and the destruction they produced. Deception is our greatest danger, because even death cannot separate us from God, but a person or a nation deceived can end up far from God. The Bible tells us that in the last days Perilous Times will come upon us. What is the greatest peril that we face? Is it danger and death, or is is deception of the mind? How does the man of sin spoken of in the Bible take control over the whole world? Satan, the great deceiver has been behind all the great deceptions down through history. We need to know his methods and plans.

This is the second book in the series of my life, and continues the strand of the making of a young man's character. My story is not unique of course. Many others were going through the same things in military service and in that sense, it;s history. But I hope that many will be able to indentify with this story and enjoy the humor and the exciting adventures of a young man who truly enjoyed his time in the Marine Corps! Our outfit did not have to face direct combat duty as many have, and that of course made it far easier. My military experience was just a part of my life and formation. Our actions or reactions are in part a result of our previous life, but they also re-enforce or detract from what we will be in the future. I trust that this will be, not only interesting to read, but also a help in some way for others whether they serve in the military or not, to do their best and get the most out of life!

The church in a prison and the church in a mine are two unusual examples.Our Lord had a great burden to convey to his contemporaries and to us the urgency of being ready for his coming. Especially in the last part of his ministry he used many everyday examples to teach and prepare us. A key verse showing what was on his heart is in Luke 21:36, "Watch you therefore and pray always that you be counted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man." This book is written for those who truly want to be a part of that Glorious Church!
