From the Heart, is a collection of original chants (short songs) written by Barbara Dunn, Robin Rio, Jodi Winnwalker, Lisa Jackert, and Maureen Hearns. Recordings of these chants can be found on Daughters of Harriet (DOH) two recordings: You Are A Song and From The Heart. Through these chants, we hope to encourage the continued use of singing for inner peace, outward expression, harmony, spirituality, joy, healing, and whatever else you need or want from music!

This user-friendly book demonstrates how even simple sounds and movements can engage people with dementia, promoting relaxation and enjoyment. All that's needed to succeed is a love of music, and a desire to gain greater communication and interaction. The book provides practical advice on using music and includes a songbook of popular song choices.
