Chess coaches agree that studying annotated games is a sure-fire way to raise your chess understanding!Improve your game by studying fifty-five tactical chess battles with exercises! The book contains fifty annotated games with exercises, and it is an updated and expanded edition of my book, Fifty Quick Chess Wins with Annotations and Exercises (https: //www.amazon.com/dp/B06XB89KG6). The book is aimed at players who want to improve their tactical and visualisation skills. The analysis is complemented by many diagrams to help the reader follow the games, particularly at the critical stages of the games. This feature can also be used as a training tool, whereby the game is studied without using a board to improve visualisation skills. The analysis has been checked by strong chess engines to ensure its accuracy. All the players in the games are rated less than 2300 Elo, so that the games are more understandable for club players. Tactics dominate in the games, and the exercises highlight the critical stages of the games. There is also a checkmate exercise at the end of each game. The exercises are given a difficulty rating ranging from easy to hard, and all of them provide a good challenge. The book will be a valuable resource for club and improving players, and it provides many hours of instruction and entertainment.Buy you copy today and start improving your chess skills!
Improve your game by studying 1001 all-new checkmate exercises! This book presents 1001 checkmate exercises from recent tournament games, and it has the same structure as my book, 1001 Checkmate Exercises: Mastering An Essential Chess Skill (amazon.com/dp/B07BC9881W). The book contains mate in 1, 2, 3 and 4 exercises. The mate in 1, 2 and 3 exercises are split into two chapters for each mate. In the first chapter for the particular mate, the position is given just before the mate is possible, and the reader is required to find the mate. In the second chapter, the position is given before the losing move is made. The task is to visualise this move, and then to find the mate. The format of the book means that the level of visualisation required to solve the exercises increases by one half-move (or ply in computer chess terms) with each chapter. Hence, the exercises gradually extend the reader's visualisation skills, as well as improving checkmating skills. The goal of each exercise is to find the quickest mate. In some positions, there may be several moves that lead to checkmate, but the quickest mate is required. There is only one first move for each exercise that achieves this goal. Detailed solutions are provided for all the exercises, and they have been computer-checked by several strong chess engines for accuracy. The book will be a valuable resource for beginners or players who have little experience in chess, and it will give the reader many hours of instruction and entertainment. Improve your game by studying 1001 all-new checkmate exercises! This book presents 1001 checkmate exercises from recent tournament games, and it's a sequel to 1001 Checkmate Exercises: From Beginner to Winner (amazon.com/dp/B07JY7TXLF). The exercises in this volume cover the same mates as the previous volume, but there are more exercises that require a higher level of visualisation to solve. The exercises in both volumes are easier than those contained in my book, 1001 Checkmate Exercises: Mastering An Essential Chess Skill (amazon.com/dp/B07BC9881W), and they are more suited to beginners or players who have little experience in chess. The latter book is suitable for study once the reader has completed the exercises in this series. The book contains mate in 1 and 2 exercises. The mate in 1 exercises are split into two chapters. In the first chapter, the position is given just before the mate is possible, and the reader is required to find the mate. In the second chapter, the position is given before the losing move is made. The task is to visualise this move, and then to find the mate. Many of these exercises include bad blunders that thereby allow a checkmate. A supplementary exercise in these cases is for the reader tofind a better move that can potentially avoid the checkmate, although this is not always possible. The format of the book means that the level of visualisation required to solve the exercises increases by one half-move (or ply in computer chess terms) with each chapter.
