As times and cultures change at a lightning-fast pace it seems that most people, even unbelievers, are interested in the study of the end times. The Bible has quite a bit to say about this captivating subject. And as is the case, it offers incredible detail about events predicted to happen in the future. Even among Christians, we can agree to disagree on a number of things, but one truth is for sure...the end is coming, and its arrival would seem much sooner than later. This manuscript is in no way an exhaustive study of eschatological events. But I do believe it will remind the reader of some vitally important information, and it may answer some questions concerning some things you've always wondered about. These pages contain recent study outlines that have been prepared and presented to the wonderful congregation of the Calvary Baptist Church of Union Grove. Therefore, the format is configured for preaching. Which means punctuation and grammar will be far from perfect, but the content and continual thought should be easily comprehendible. Why don't you pause briefly and ask the Holy Spirit to grant you clarity and understanding as you read these pages concerning God's Prophetic Calendar.
Sadly, it seems that many Christians while claiming to be born again, have failed to grow into full and vibrant children of God; year after year being content with their mediocre situation and remaining spiritual infants for the rest of their lives. So, the question is posed: How does one become a full-grown Christian and grow up into spiritual maturity? I believe the answer is this: We grow spiritually in much the same way as we grow physically. Within the pages of this simple and profound book we will attempt to suggest some Scriptural building blocks that will get you growing and going in your process of developing as a Christian.
Have you ever had a difficult time trying to understand what your spouse was attempting to say? I mean, you both speak the same language, or at least you thought so. But at times it seems as if a translator is desperately needed within your relationship. If this is true, I hope you'll continue to read, because help is readily available. The purpose of this book is to hopefully offer some helpful guidance and enlightening ideas on how you and your spouse can openly and lovingly communicate. Learning a new language takes hard word and tenacity, but when completed it often opens up new levels of advancement and opportunity. Such is the case with learning the language of your spouse, it will demand dedication and patience; but the rewards of intimacy and lifelong love will be so worth the effort. Now, all the best on learning your new language.
The Rapture of the Church in and of itself will bring many circumstances of cataclysmic proportion. But these will be but a glimpse of what is about to unfold when God allows tribulation to come upon this Earth. These events will be like nothing the world has ever experienced, in the past or later in its future. Although these judgments may seem very extreme, and at times, even overly dramatized by this author, I do not believe that any writer can properly illustrate just how intense and frightening these happenings will be.
The apostle Peter spoke of a joy that was unspeakable. In other words this joy was so amazing that words literally couldn't explain it or describe it. The word "unspeakable" could also be defined as "unutterable"; words just don't do it justice. When Peter wrote about this unspeakable joy he was, of course, speaking of Salvation. He reminds these Christians that temptations and trials are going to come, that these things are very much a real part of life...but indescribable joy comes from knowing that none of these things change the fact that we are saved. It is our hope that the simple writings within this booklet will assist others in understanding the true joy that Christ offers to all.
The word renovation simply means to restore to a good state of repair; or it could simply imply refreshing or reinvigorating. Every relationship, no matter how mature, stands in need of some restoration, from time to time. If you're possibly interested in a little fixer upper romantically, this book may possibly supply a few hints and helpful suggestions.
After serving over 30 years in the Ministry-I know a little about trying to pray, and seek the face of God concerning a message. I can definitely relate with those who are leveled with the burden of laboring in study as they diligently try to put together an outline of truth that will hopefully impact the lives of some hungry listeners. There is nothing quite like walking into the pulpit, Sunday school class, or an audience of listeners-knowing that you've arrived with a message from Heaven; one that could very possibly change a persons direction for good and for God. But study and developing a lesson is an arduous task. It often demands long hours of prayer, reading, research and self-denial. I know for myself, sometimes a simple idea or thought can go a long way in helping gain some direction toward a message. The preceding concept has birthed this book into existence. The following pages are simply a conglomeration of hours' worth of study and preparation, placed into a very simplistic outline format. The punctuation and grammar is not completely accurate, simply because I structured these outlines not just for reading, but for the purpose of public speaking. Some phrases are larger and emboldened for easier viewing. Various lines throughout the book are highlighted for emphasis. Some of the stories are tailored to me, and not necessarily for reading aloud to a crowd. But this book is chocked full of truths, helpful alliterated points, and many insightful illustrations that can assist you in conveying a great truth. It is my prayer that these writings will serve as a helpful aid to the preacher, teacher or public speaker as he earnestly seeks God's message for those he hopes to influence.
God created marriage to be A plus. What's really sad is to see so many couples settle for a C minus relationship. Marriage can be GOOD with right ingredients. But marriage will only be GREAT if the MAIN INGREDIENT is added. Truly, our marriages will never reach their full potential...if we fail to add this vital component. And this incredibly needful ingredient, is none other, than Jesus Christ.
This remarkable new book reveals the hitherto unknown story of the soldiers who took the first tanks into action on the Somme battlefield in September 1916.
The first in-depth history, since 1919, of the Tank Corps' actions in the Great War, incorporating newly identified material obtained in recent research.
This book is a radical exploration of the mystical teachings in the Gospel of John. It helps the reader to experience these spiritual truths for themselves, and go beyond the everyday mind, which is dominated by the ego and realize their eternal Being, which Johns Gospel calls Logos. By approaching the teachings in a meditative state, the symbolism contained within the Greek text opens out and comes alive in the present moment. The Gospel is not a historical document; it speaks directly to each person now and the states of consciousness represented in the stories are accessible now. The book contains guided meditations to help bring this to life for the reader. This awakening concerns our relationship with the whole of life. Spiritual consciousness means that we are aware of the sacredness of our connections to each other as fellow human beings, and to the creatures of the natural world. Christ and the Logos contain both masculine and feminine in balance; at this critical time, our well-being and that of our fellow creatures is dependent on this realization.
