With her eyes on her goal, she stayed focused through her senior year of high school and four years of college by volunteering as a youth group leader. Her dream was nearly complete when soon after graduation the church hired her as the acting youth pastor. Then a choice, premeditated by principalities, starts a web of decisions that would send her faith into a spiraling descent. She pushed past those God sends to her rescue, such as her brother, parents, and church. But her persistent nature becomes a tool for a self-guided quest to serve God her way, drawing from her circumstances. Valorie has raised four children, whom she has written and illustrated many stories for. Shortly after her last child graduated, she went back to school to pursue her passion for writing.
