Alle hans skrifter er samlet i forskellige iterationer af “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare”.

The First Part of King Henry the Sixth is a historical play written by William Shakespeare. It is the first of three plays that depict the events leading up to the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars fought in England during the 15th century. The play follows the rise of Henry VI to the throne of England, his struggles to maintain his power, and the political and military conflicts that arise as a result. The play begins with the funeral of King Henry V, and the coronation of his young son, Henry VI. The new king is weak and inexperienced, and his reign is immediately challenged by powerful nobles who seek to control him. These nobles, led by the Duke of Gloucester and the Earl of Warwick, are opposed by another faction, led by the Duke of Bedford and the Bishop of Winchester. As the play progresses, tensions between the two factions escalate, and the country is plunged into civil war. The Duke of York, a powerful nobleman with a claim to the throne, also enters the fray, further complicating matters. The play ends with the Battle of St. Albans, a decisive victory for the Yorkists. The First Part of King Henry the Sixth is notable for its complex characters, political intrigue, and vivid depictions of battle. It is also notable for its portrayal of Henry VI as a weak and ineffectual ruler, a theme that is explored in greater depth in the subsequent plays. Overall, the play is a fascinating exploration of the political and social upheaval that characterized England during the Wars of the Roses. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Othello (The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice) is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1603. It is based on the story Un Capitano Moro ("A Moorish Captain") by Cinthio, a disciple of Boccaccio, first published in 1565. The story revolves around its two central characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army and his unfaithful ensign, Iago. Given its varied and enduring themes of racism, love, jealousy, betrayal, revenge and repentance, Othello is still often performed in professional and community theatre alike, and has been the source for numerous operatic, film, and literary adaptations.
