All of the poems relate to the author's experience living on three continents, within distinctly different cultures, over the course of the past fifty years. Most of the poems within Imbrication have elements of irony or satire because, apart from being brief and poignant, life is often ironic and satirical. These poems seek to reach deeper than the surface of specific images, and touch on concerns shared by all people.
