Today Mazama is still a small town, the old post office has now been turned into a great little tourist stop "The Mazama Store" . The scenery remains the same as I remember it the town of Winthrop was updated, but as a child it looked like this old town out of a western movie. The Methow river flows along the road from Mazama to Winthrop and on to twisp which connects each town and flows on to more travels. The book includes a local map to create an interactive experience for all to enjoy.
