This book shares my story of how as a Registered Nurse, I wiped out my health from my stress as I pushed myself to be a successful healthcare professional. From a lack of boundaries and patterns of over working and over-giving I faced significant stress related illnesses repeatedly.Eventually I would step back, focus on my healing, and then return back into the patterns that wiped out my health. My illumination was when I saw the true connection of the mind-body-spirit and how we are naturally wired to evolve and grow through our physical health, the vehicle of our work and through our personal relationships. My epiphany was to recognize the bridge between Western medicine to assess and diagnose and Shamanic Healing of the mind-body-spirit. Many of us have been impacted by people and events in our life that cause broken heartedness. The broken heart manifests in wounded self-concepts and a lack of self-acceptance and self-love. This results in a drive to fix ourselves by pushing and striving to feel happy about who we are and how we are seen in the world. This is the internal stress that is often hidden by high achievement and pushing for performance. This is the stress that this book offers solutions for. Our wounded self-concepts are the cause of our insecurity which is underneath the veil of what we identify as stress. Confidence is the victory over our insecurity and is the transformation we imagine. We open the door to our confidence through courage. That transformation is our freedom when courage turns our insecurity and doubt around into confidence. For every traumatic or peak life event, there is an opportunity to integrate that experience as a life lesson.
