About the BookHaving the privilege to work with and caring for Palestinian and Messianic Jewish pastors for twenty-five years, Douglas saw the anguish and suffering of both Palestinians and Jews, and longed for reconciliation between the two groups. These pastors have become dear friends and both sides have suffered greatly from the injuries caused by the other side. Douglas experienced some of the hopelessness of a resolution, particularly from their political leaders. God promises that He will bring peace for both groups so they can genuinely reconcile with the other. This book is written to give hope for both Palestinians and Jews.About the AuthorDouglas W. Kittredge is a pastor who has engaged in reconciliation between Messianic Jews and Palestinian believers for over twenty-five years. The vision is to support the ministry of local Messianic and Palestinian congregations both in Israel and the West Bank. About the BookIn this collection of his essays and writings, James Emerson Hough reflects on the serenity of retirement living in the middle of his own private Certified Forest Preserve and Wildlife Habitat in Southeast Indiana, the inspiration it engenders to be creative, and the ability to focus his thinking. He finds it rewarding to share his perspective, but the selfish reason he writes is that it makes him a better person. When asked why he writes, Mr. Hough admits that writing helps keep his mind alert and head on straight. He's inspired to read and unlock novel ideas in his mind, research them, and develop compelling techniques to put them together in writing. Writing is his habit. He knows that no one can write anything who does not think that what they write is for the time history, or do anything well who does not esteem their work to be of importance. Old age has yet to creep on the author's mind, and wisdom will never let him stand with another on unfriendly footing. For him to write what will not become obsolete is to write sincerely to himself while attempting to satisfy his own curiosity. Where Mr. Hough found peace of mind, peace of mind was waiting there.Books are the quietest and most constant of friends, the most patient of teachers, and the most accessible and wisest if counselors. Worthwhile books that get into the world are written by successful people who utter what tens of millions feel though they cannot say. Certain books are vital, not leaving readers what they were; they shut the book a richer person. Finding Peace of Mind and Keeping It is full of energy. About the AuthorJames Emerson Hough was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky; schooled in the public school system of that community; earned an AS degree studying mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological and zoological sciences at Paducah Junior College; and earned BS (Geology) and MS (Engineering Geology) degrees at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. He retired December 31, 1998, at age 68, ending more than thirty-five years in private practice of the applied earth sciences as licensed professional engineer and licensed professional geologist. Hough was awarded the DSc degree by the American Institute of Geosciences in 2020.

About the BookNear On is about the duality of all people. We're all good and bad- even the best of us. Interwoven in the book are three main elements: 1) Loss - The author's best friend lost his daughter at a very young age to brain cancer and he explores how we all experience grief differently throughout different points in our life. 2) Racism - As an African American man, the author wanted to look at the subtleties of racism he has experienced and give a different point of view of how we ALL wrong each other in small - not "in your face"- ways. 3) The Multiverse - He explores a fascinating topic that we know little to nothing about. There are many times in the story where there aren't clear cut answers - much like the reality of things. This is the first of three books the author has planned in this realm. The story is unique and compelling because the characters are relatable. The writing is designed to be grounded. The dialog is in a fashion where people talk to each other in the real world and people behave in a "normal" way.About the AuthorOcean Strata grew up in Santa Monica, California, in a not-so-great neighborhood where he was raised by a single mom. Most kids left to their own devices may have gotten into trouble, but Strata chose to go to the library and read most days. He went to USC on an academic scholarship and graduated from Marshall School of Business. Strata found joy and peace in writing and in the technology industry. As a black man in sales and corporate America, he has experienced both beautiful behavior and sub-par behavior. He feels that all of his experiences drove his passion to tell a story about the middle ground - about the grey. He met his wife in banking, and they now have twin toddlers - a boy and a girl - his hardest job to date.

Weston himself has depression and teaches her how to deal with it without medication. He teaches her how to not let it define her. What makes this story most interesting is the pain, the feelings from herself and her family and friends, but also the relationship and love she finds in the person who knows very little about her. There are secrets along the way, problems she has to deal with, and speaking to her two brothers and Weston help Hadley achieve that.Lots of people have depression, and lots of people love love. Self-growth in the process only makes it more relatable.I hope readers take away how to handle things without the help of medication, that readers find ways themselves to deal with day to day problems, and find that suicide is not the way.
