Price management has a high importance within the marketing field. Price is by far the most sensitive profit lever that managers can influence. Reflecting the academic and managerial need, the research objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding in two areas: the magnitude of price elasticity and the determinants of price elasticity.

The author analyses the concept of free will in the context of the psychophysical problem. He builds his analysis upon the presumption that the contemporary debate between compatibilists and incompatibilists is not of high relevance, since "free will" is a highly technical and vague term. So instead of directly answering questions like "Is free will possible?" or "What is free will?", he starts his analyses from specifying a solution to the psychophysical problem and then works towards a possible definition of free will.

El objetivo del libro consiste en estudiar la manera en la que los traductores recrean el estilo del autor polaco Bruno Schulz. La disertación abre con dos capítulos teóricos. En el marco analítico que incluye un corpus de 2000 fragmentos pretendemos averiguar de qué factores depende la elección de la técnica de traducción y qué consecuencias para la imaginería original puede acarrear. Las técnicas traductoras se catalogan según la clasificación de Hurtado Albir (2011). La aplicación de métodos cuantitativos nos ha permitido distinguir las técnicas más usadas. En cambio, el empleo de métodos cualitativos ha dejado patentes algunas tendencias que modifican el estilo autoral, tales como la frecuente omisión de repeticiones o la sustitución de metáforas por comparaciones.

Diese Arbeit zieht einen Vergleich des politischen und rechtlichen Rahmens der EU und Australiens zur Steuerung von Fluchtmigration. Problematiken rund um Flucht und Migration sind stets aktuell und global. So sind Boote gefüllt mit Menschen, die auf der Suche nach Schutz gefährliche Routen über das Meer auf sich nehmen nicht nur eine Erscheinung im Mittelmeer, sondern auch Australien erlebt dieses Phänomen. In Diskussionen um die europäische Flüchtlingspolitik wurde hinsichtlich des Umgangs mit Flüchtenden auf das in Australien etablierte System verwiesen und überlegt, ein vergleichbares System in der EU zu implementieren. Die Arbeit geht der Frage nach, ob solche möglichen Mechanismen zur Steuerung von Fluchtmigration auch in der EU implementiert werden könnten.

«Name ist Schall und Rauch», heißt es in Goethes Faust I. Diese Studie zeigt, dass Figurennamen allerdings viel mehr sind. Insbesondere die sprechenden Namen modellieren den Charakter und weisen Identität zu, was die Untersuchung maßgeblich anhand der Protagonistinnen in Faust, Egmont und Das Käthchen von Heilbronn zeigt. Unter Rückgriff auf die literarische Onomastik widmet sich das Buch diesen kleinsten Nebentexten und legt den Schwerpunkt auf die Namenswechsel der Frauenfiguren, die einerseits mit, andererseits ohne Diminutiv benannt werden. Vordergründig stellt sich dabei die Frage, in welcher Abhängigkeit die Benennungsdifferenz zum Gesamtdramenkontext und zur Figurenkonstellation steht.

Die medizinische Dimension in den Prosawerken von Günter Grass ist bis dato weitestgehend unerforscht. Die vorliegende Studie ist ein erster Versuch, diese Forschungslücke zu schließen. Sie widmet sich der Darstellung von medizinischem Fachpersonal wie Krankenschwestern, Hebammen, Ärzten und Ärztinnen sowie Krankenhäusern. Ein Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf den komplexen Gesundheitsproblemen, mit denen einzelne literarische Charaktere in Grass¿ epischen Werken konfrontiert werden. Dabei stehen sowohl Kinder- als auch Erwachsenenkrankheiten im besonderen Fokus. Darüber hinaus werden die Darstellungen von Rettungsmedizin und Selbstmorden in Grass¿ Werken präzise analysiert. Diese Arbeit eröffnet eine bisher ungeahnte Perspektive auf die medizinischen Aspekte in Grass¿ Epik.

Der Autor untersucht verschiedene Antworten auf die grundlegende existentiell-ethische Frage, wie man über sein eigenes Leben bestimmen soll. Dabei werden drei grundlegende Denkparadigmen betrachtet. Im aristotelischen Paradigma steht die Wahrheit als grundlegendes Kriterium im Vordergrund, und es geht darum, im Einklang mit einem angenommenen Maßstab zu leben. Im cartesianischen Paradigma hingegen, das eher subjektbezogen ist, ist Freiheit das zentrale Kriterium. Hier geht es darum, das Leben als vollkommen eigenes Unternehmen zu betrachten. Im Subjekt-Subjekt-Paradigma, das dialogorientiert ist, wird Verantwortung als grundlegendes Kriterium angesehen.

Der Band beschäftigt sich mit der historischen Entwicklung des Geschichtstourismus und thematisiert auch die Aufbereitung von Vergangenheit in konsumentenorientierten Geschichtsnarrativen. Dabei sind unterschiedliche Medien vor, während und im Nachgang der touristischen Reisen relevant. Überdies sind touristische Erwartungen zwischen Freizeitgestaltung und Bildungsinteressen von Bedeutung. Für einen nicht nur ökonomisch bestimmten,sondern auch nachhaltigen, zeitgemäßen Geschichtstourismus werden integrative und partizipative Modelle diskutiert. Konkretisiert werden derartige Überlegungen unter anderem für historischen Themenstraße und Grenzregionen.

Um ¿compliant¿ zu sein, müssen Unternehmen personenbezogene Daten Dritter schützen, die in ihrem Unternehmen verarbeitet werden. Zugleich sind sie als Arbeitgeber aber auch zum Schutz der personenbezogenen Daten ihrer Beschäftigten verpflichtet. Um ihren Compliancepflichten nachzukommen, sind Arbeitgeber also einerseits zur Überwachung der Beschäftigten verpflichtet, andererseits müssen sie dabei aber auch die datenschutzrechtlichen Vorschriften bezüglich der Verarbeitung der Beschäftigtendaten beachten. Damit stehen Arbeitgeber vor der herausfordernden Aufgabe, alle Interessen und Pflichten bestmöglich in Einklang zu bringen. Diese Dissertation zeigt mögliche Lösungswege für dieses Dilemma auf.

Dem Begriff ,Pflicht' (wagib/far¿) wird sowohl im fiqh als auch in den u¿ul al-fiqh ein größerer Stellenwert beigemessen als dem Begriff ,Recht' (¿aqq), was sich in den klassischen fiqh- und u¿ul-Quellen kaum widerspiegelt. Dies hat einige Gelehrte zu der Äußerung bewogen, dass der Islam im Allgemeinen und das islamische Recht im Besonderen keine Rechte gewähre, sondern eine Religion der Verpflichtungen sei.In dieser Arbeit widmet sich der Autor der Leitfrage, warum der Begriff wagib sowohl im fiqh als auch in den u¿ul al-fiqh Vorrang vor dem Begriff ¿aqq hat. Damit verknüpft ist die Frage, ob die Rechte Gottes in den u¿ul al-fiqh tatsächlich gegenüber den Rechten der Menschen priorisiert werden. Der Schwerpunkt dieses Buches liegt dabei auf dem Verhältnis zwischen den Rechten Gottes (¿uquq Allah) und den Rechten des Dieners (¿uquq al-¿abd) sowie dem Verhältnis zwischen den Rechten des Herrschers und denen des Volkes (¿uquq al-¿akim wa-l-mäkum).

Moreover, it is crucial to take into account not only the environment and climate, but also social, ethical and governance dimensions to transforming the entire financial system into a more sustainable one, especially to attract more investments in sustainable industries, companies or start-ups, thus diverting attention from destructive areas. This book aims to explore the challenges, opportunities and future prospects of sustainable finance by highlighting the role of key players in financial systems such as financial intermediaries, investors and governments in shaping the future of finance, as well as the importance of sustainable financial products such as ESG-oriented instruments and green bonds/loans. With this book, we hope to contribute to and shed light on the ongoing discussions on building a more sustainable global financial system.
