Tacrolimus ointment is the first in the new class of steroid-free Topical Immunomodulators (TIMs), and as such represents the first true breakthrough since the introduction of topical steroids more than 50 years ago for the treatment of T-cell mediated inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis.
You already know you can create amazing things with LEGO, but did you know you can also make vehicles that roll and model plans that include landing gear and flaps that actually extend and retract?

This is a highly practical guide to programming real-time embedded microcontroller systems in C++. Its many examples are backed by real-time performance measurements and size analyses that quantify the true cost of the code to the last byte and microsecond.
A discussion of raw-material structure and the features used for species identification in pulp is followed up by the description of 117 fiber species. Informative micrographs, identification tables, and distribution maps aid species differentiation, making this atlas ideal for everyone interested in fiber identification.
In its fully revised 2nd edition, this book provides the background needed for a fundamental understanding of biophysics, spanning the whole range of life from a biophysical view, from the molecular, cellular and organismic level to environmental factors.
Up-to-date and richly illustrated, this book covers breast carcinoma, with guidance on differential diagnosis and pre- and postoperative ultrasound appearances. Includes benign diseases, age-related features, breast abnormalities in men and lymph nodes.
Underwater acoustics has become one of the major technologies used in the exploration and exploitation of the oceans. This book provides an updated and extended overview of current underwater acoustics. It emphasizes practical approaches to actual problems.
This is the most complete text available on the economics of health behavior and health care delivery. The text provides the key analytical tools required to understand current research and models existing complexities as they are.
This book offers a coherent modeling language that captures the complexity of architectural domains and their relations, allowing the construction of integrated enterprise architecture models. Introduces the ArchiMate(R) language for enterprise architecture.
Fundamental Astronomy is a well-balanced, comprehensive introduction to classical and modern astronomy. Long considered a standard text for physical science majors, Fundamental Astronomy is also an excellent reference work for dedicated amateur astronomers.
This comprehensive textbook describes the synthesis, characterization and technical and engineering applications of polymers. Often neglected in other textbooks, there are chapters on technical polymers, functional polymers, elastomers and liquid crystalline polymers, as well as polymers and the environment.
This book is a major work that focuses exclusively on ship finance and includes contributions on the increasingly complex field of ship finance, which has over the last two decades become a key aspect in the world of shipping and ship owning.
You'll discover keyboard shortcuts and gestures to help save time-whether you're on a iMac, Mac mini, Macbook Pro, Air, or other Mac computer. In terms of apps, you'll learn about iLife, iCal, Mail, Mac App Store, Safari, Address Book and more.
Beginning with basic facts about the observable universe, this book reviews the complete range of topics that make up a degree course in cosmology and particle astrophysics. This paperback edition targets students of physics, astrophysics and cosmology from advanced undergraduate to early graduate level.
Pro Asynchronous Programming with .NET teaches the essential skill of asynchronous programming in .NET. Pro Asynchronous Programming with .NET is your practical guide to using this important programming skill anywhere on the .NET platform.
This is the first truly ecosystem-oriented book on peatlands. It adopts an ecosystems approach to understanding the world's boreal peatlands. A recurring theme is the legacy of boreal peatlands as impressive accumulators of carbon as peat over millennia.
DevOps for Developers delivers a practical, thorough introduction to approaches, processes and tools to foster collaboration between software development and operations.
All individuals who operate in the business sphere, whether as consumers, employers, employees, entrepreneurs, or financial traders to name a few constituents, share a common biological heritage and are defined by a universal human nature.  As such, it is surprising that so few business scholars have incorporated biological and evolutionary-informed theories within their conceptual toolboxes.  This edited book addresses this lacuna by culling chapters at the intersection of the evolutionary behavioral sciences and specific business contexts including in marketing, consumer behavior, advertising, innovation and creativity, intertemporal choice, negotiations, competition and cooperation in organizational settings, sex differences in workplace patterns, executive leadership, business ethics, store design, behavioral decision making, and electronic communication.  To reword the famous aphorism of T. G. Dobzhansky, nothing in business makes sense except in the light of evolution.
Business Process Management (BPM) has become one of the most widely used approaches for the design of modern organizational and information systems. This second volume focuses on the managerial and organizational challenges of Business Process Management such as strategic and cultural alignment, governance and the education of BPM stakeholders.
The textbooks ¿Solid State Theory" give an introduction to the methods, contents and results of modern solid state physics in two volumes. This first volume has the basic courses in theoretical physics as prerequisites, i.e. knowledge of classical mechanics, electrodynamics and, in particular, quantum mechanics and statistical physics is assumed. The formalism of second quantization (occupation number representation), which is needed for the treatment of many-body effects, is introduced and used in the book. The content of the first volume deals with the classical areas of solid state physics (phonons and electrons in the periodic potential, Bloch theorem, Hartree-Fock approximation, density functional theory, electron-phonon interaction). The first volume is already suitable for Bachelor students who want to go beyond the basic courses in theoretical physics and get already familiar with an application area of theoretical physics, e.g. for an elective subject "Theoretical (Solid State) Physics" or as a basis for a Bachelor thesis. Every solid-state physicist working experimentally should also be familiar with the theoretical methods covered in the first volume. The content of the first volume can therefore also be the basis for a module "Solid State Physics" in the Master program in Physics or, together with the content of the 2nd volume, for a module "Theoretical Solid State Physics" or "Advanced Theoretical Physics". The following second volume covers application areas such as superconductivity and magnetism to areas that are current research topics (e.g. quantum Hall effect, high-temperature superconductivity, low-dimensional structures).
