Hope comes in many forms and in this story, it comes by opening a new classroom door. Behind this door hope is identified, addressed, removes self-doubt and improves a child's self-esteem. For you see Reading isn't really just a subject in school, but truly a necessary skill in life. Enjoy! This story is about my daughter's journey in school. She started with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) at the age of 3 for speech and continued through college with a Central Auditory Processing Disorder diagnosis (CAPD). I was her advocate during all her years in school plus college. I have been blessed to sit on both sides of the table as a special education teacher and as a parent with a child who had an IEP in school.
