En af verdens største forfattere, J.K Rowling (Joanne Rowling), blev født i England i 1965. Hun er kendt for sine verdenspopulære bøger, der følger troldmanden Harry Potter og hans gang på troldmandsskolen Hogwarts, hvor han sammen med sine venner gør alt for at bekæmpe de onde kræfter, der findes i troldmandsverdenen. J.K Rowling er sprogligt uddannet fra Exeter University og arbejdede i en længere periode for Amnesty International. Hun begyndte at skrive Harry Potter-bøgerne på en togtur mellem Manchester og London, og brugte derefter fem år på at udvide troldmandsuniverset og handlingen for sine fremtidige bøger. Hun flyttede til Portugal, hvor hun fødte sin datter, men efter et endt ægteskab, bosatte hun sig i Edinburgh. J.K Rowling havde svært ved at finde et forlag, der ville udgive hendes bog om drengen Harry Potter, men i 1997 lykkedes det hende at få debutromanen ”Harry Potter og de vises sten”, udgivet på børnebogsforlaget Bloomsbury Children´s Books...

    Loved the book! Already had seen the movies, but not read the books. That is Why the Series was Perfect for Me to start my Reading journey, as they are relatively Easy to read and understand!

    Jeg har ledt efter HP bøgerne i hardback og på engelsk og det har ikke været så nemt at finde. Men her var de og med fint smudsomslag. Nu mangler jeg bare resten af serien.
    Ja og indholdet fejler jo ikke noget. Må absolut anbefale at læse bøgerne på engelsk, der går meget tabt i oversættelsen desværre.
