Den svenske forfatter, Fredrik Backman, blev født i Stockholm i 1981. Han er kendt for sin humoristiske og underfundige skrivestil, som blandt andet kommer til udtryk i debutromanen ”En mand der hedder Ove” fra 2012. Efter at have flakket lidt rundt imellem diverse universitetsuddannelser og jobs, begyndte Fredrik Backman at skrive kronikker for gratisavisen Extra.
