David D. Bernstein wrote Peanut for children coping with divorce and obsessive thoughts. Having worked with young people for more than twenty years, Bernstein has witnessed how these challenges can affect children on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. As someone who has personally experienced the benefits of having a pet, Bernstein decided to combine the two topics to create a wonderful picture book that is both funny and fun to read, serving as a wonderful tool for young readers.
