Veronica Anne Roth er en amerikansk forfatter (født 19. august 1988), og er bedst kendt for sin bestseller bogserie ‘Divergent’, som består af 4 bøger, som efterfølgende er blevet filmatiseret. Veronica Roth er den bedst sælgende forfatter af Divergent-serien, som der er blevet solgt mere end 30 mio eksemplarer af, og som er oversat til hele 44 forskellige sprog. Den verdensberømte forfatter er opvokset i en forstad til Chicago, og hun skrev sin første bog ‘Divergent’, mens hun var på vinterferie i sit seniorår på Northwestern University, som blev starten på den fantastiske Divergent-serie og en spændende karrierer. Veronica Roth Roth gik på Grove Avenue grundskole og Prairie mellemskole. Hun dimitterede fra Barrington High School, og efter at have gået et år på college på Carleton College skiftede hun til Northwestern University for dets kreative skriveprogram. Hun blev gift med fotografen Nelson Fitch i 2011, og er den yngste af 3 børn.
