BASKING ON INSANITY BEACHJock is in control, master of all he surveys. All his life he has tormented people, casting their damaged souls adrift in his wake. Now retired he has a new focus on life, as a self righteous Chairman of a Body Corporation that runs 36 Units in a little suburb call Beachview. With years of practised domestic espionage behind him he sets out to maliciously sabotage every tenant he dislikes. When will the forces of Karma finally accumulate enough to teach him his lesson? Has he trodden on enough toes to receive the retaliation he so richly deserves? Is mere vengeance enough, or is he staring in the face of annihilation?Basking on Insanity Beach is based on a true story David Zachary Smith was personally involved in. To protect the anonymity of the people involved their names and places of residence are fictitious. Australia 1986/87: Ian decides he's going to buy an investment property in a little suburb called Beachview. A home loan at 13.5% secures the deal. So $65,500 later Ian owns his unit and the bonus is there's tenants already in place and enthusiastic to stay. Sounds simple? Get the tenants to pay off the loan and real estate should double in price every 10 years. But there's always a catch!Basking on Insanity Beach is laid out to a beach theme. The Beach being the group of Units and every chapter is related to each character and situation. Based around interesting times in Australia's history, Bob Hawke the most popular labor party prime minister of all time had the Treasurer Paul Keating eyeing his job. Then came the stock market crash. Paul Keating announced the recession we had to have. So financially most people started going downhill...fast!Basking on Insanity Beach probes domestic crime, family violence and control and shows what depths we all go to in retaliation. But how far do you go? Is there a limit whereby you become worse than the perpetrator? This book exposes an even greater underlying problem. It's one we still have.David Zachary Smith had related this story to many people over the years. Most people were fascinated with his account of his run in with a seemingly harmless little old disabled man. So almost 25 years later he decided to write this book and its still his most popular publication to date. You'll find this book an Easy Read only problem is once you start you won't be able to put it down! (c)David Zachary Smith 2013

The tan, dark haired young man sat and watched the made-for-TV miniseries. The miniseries, based on real life events, told the story of a group of young men from Beverly Hills who planned and carried out two murders, including the killing of the father of one of the members of the group. As the young man watched the movie, he called to his older brother who joined him and together they watched the "Billionaire Boys Club." Later, they began to discuss killing their father. Each brother complained to the other about how domineering and controlling their father was, how impossible it was for either brother to please him, how he planned to disinherit both brothers from his will and how poorly he treated their mother. The brothers rationalized that if they killed their father, they would have to kill their mother because she could not survive emotionally without their father. She could also be a living witness to the crime they were about to commit. The older brother wanted to plan the murders so that they would be as "perfect as could be," but the younger brother could not wait and insisted that the murders take place as soon as possible. The miniseries was shown over two nights, July 30 and 31, 1989, and the murders occurred on the night of August 20, 1989.
Nora Macpherson is a rookie RCMP constable on her first assignment to Moose Forks, a ranching and logging community tucked into a wilderness landscape of snow-capped mountains, dense coniferous forests and glacial lakes and rivers. As one of the first-ever female Mounties, Nora must contend with the biases of some of her male colleagues as well as the social isolation of being a law enforcement officer in a small town. She befriends a young teacher, Abby Clarke, whose problem student, Tess Talbot, involves them in a search for answers to an old puzzle. Solving this mystery awakens Nora to the realization that there are many other unsolved disappearances haunting the northcountry.

A collection of philosophical and critical essays on the television series True Detective."Traditionally, the detective genre deals with the problem of epistemology - how to know something that one doesn't know. There are some things we cannot know, and some things we should not know. Sometimes clues just give way to more clues, and epistemic tedium rules the day. These essays reveal knowledge becoming an enigma to itself, revealing the brilliant futility of the epistemological project." - Eugene Thacker, author of In The Dust of This Planet"The television event of the year - I would say many years - is without doubt True Detective. One deserving of forensic, unflinching, and unrelenting philosophical treatment." - Simon Critchley"The most intelligent series in TV history has opened strange crypts for explorers. This excellent essay collection reveals just how far the dark tunnels lead. Let it coax you from the comforts of death and fear, into detection of the guttering nightmare that is life, coldly seen." - Nick LandCONTENTSI. Black StarsGary J. At around 9:30 pm on October 30, 1975, blond and beautiful 15-year-old Martha Moxley had just left the Skakel residence and was walking to her home on the other side of Walsh Lane, in the swank Belle Haven section of Greenwich, Connecticut.Suddenly, someone rushed up behind her and bashed in her head with a 6-iron that belonged to a set of clubs that was later found in the Skakel residence. The killer then dragged Martha's body down a deep slope and deposited her, face-down, under a huge pine tree. He then stabbed her in the neck with a splintered shaft of the golf club, and pulled her jeans down to her knees, exposing her buttocks. The killer had either been unwilling, or was physically unable to sexually assault the half-naked girl. The Greenwich police had not investigated a murder case in over 30 years. They bungled the crucial initial investigation and the subsequent follow-ups. It wasn't until 2002, 27 years after Martha's murder, that Michael Skakel, the nephew of Ethel Skakel Kennedy, the wife of former Attorney General, Robert F. Kennedy, was tried and convicted of Martha's murder. Was the Greenwich PD totally incompetent in their initial and ongoing investigation of Martha's murder?Did the state's Attorney General look the other way because he was afraid of whom he might offend?Did the Skakel/Kennedy cabal intimidate both the Greenwich PD and the state's AG from doing their jobs? This book will try to answer those questions.Suddenly, someone rushed up behind her and bashed in her head with a 6-iron that belonged to a set of clubs that was later found in the Skakel residence. After my mother died in a fire, I never expected to wind up facing federal charges of arson and wire fraud. A careless error on the part of the authorities was all it took to ignite a cascading series of cover-ups and misdirection that landed my father and I in prison, fighting to prove our innocence. From the night I first received a bizarre midnight call from a police dispatcher miles away, to the day of our conviction, I suspected my father and I were the victims of a chain of events too bizarre to be imagined and too deliberate to be simple ineptitude. The whole situation reeked of contrivance, and would have been comical if not for my mother's death. The judge sealed the conspiracy when he gave us both life-without-parole sentences despite no evidence tying us to the fire. We were never charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, or even assault. To regain our freedom, I hired the best, most unwavering and tireless attorney I could find―me.After poring over mountains of evidence, transcripts, and subpoenas from my jail cell, I unraveled a web of dysfunctional half-truths and outright lies the US Attorney used to convict us. My father and I are the only two men in the history of the United States to be sentenced to life-without-parole in Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary, and later exonerated. This book is the story of my ten-year battle.
The story of "Catherine," From 1839-40, was written by Mr. Beaumont DuBois from some popular true Crime of that day, which made heroes of highwaymen and burglars, and, for the vicious and criminal. With this purpose, the author chose for the subject of his story a woman named Catherine Hayes, who was burned at Tyburn, in 1726, for the deliberate murder of her husband, under very revolting circumstances. Mr. DuBois's aim obviously is to describe the career of this wretched woman and her associates.

Sharron Gold's life took a dark and frightening turn when she attended a party thrown by her old friend Margaret. Without her knowledge, she was served a drink spiked with GhB, a potent drug that turned her into a compliant slave. Sharron was then thrust into a horrific world where she was stalked by criminals who used the latest technology to track and record her every move, subjecting her to unspeakable horrors that defied comprehension. For three long months, Sharron was kept drugged and under hypnosis while she transported a fortune in her prepared suitcase, without her knowledge. She was in constant danger, both physically and mentally, and was left penniless. The experience left her questioning how anyone could survive such an ordeal. As she grappled with the effects of mind-altering and "truth" drugs on her psyche, she also sought a way to escape her gang-stalking tormentors and bring them to justice.Sharron used her trained memory, honed from years of working as a continuity girl on films. She meticulously recorded everything that happened, as if she were a continuity girl in her own nightmare. While fighting against the forced addiction to GhB and suffering from withdrawal, she mentally wrote hundreds of pages, which she then turned into a book in a race against time.Writing the book became Sharron's way of coping. She poured her heart and soul into describing the nightmare she endured, the danger she faced, and her fight for survival. When the book was published, it shook the world, drawing attention to the perils of drugs, the need for better protection against gang stalking, and the importance of resilience and determination in the face of adversity.Despite the trauma, Sharron was determined to move forward. She started to rebuild her life, making new friends and pursuing new interests, knowing that the road to recovery would be long. In the end, Sharron realized that her book not only helped her heal but also inspired and aided others. She had shared her story with the world, making a profound impact on people's lives. This is the shocking true account of the nightmare Sharron Gold was lucky to survive. REVIEWSHorrifying! August 24th - At first I had a hard time getting into this book. It felt like the writer was kind of "all over the place" and things weren't making sense, after a little while, you realize that was how Ms. Gold was experiencing her life at the time. I started to pay more attention, and the story that unfolded was shocking and horrific. It takes balls to put a story out when all of those people are still out there. Hard to put down!Robert Priebe I met the author at her shop in Hallstatt. I picked up one of two copies of Spiked lying on a table. I asked if the story was true. I am a police chief in California and had investigated sexual assaults involving "date rape" drugs. When the author, Sharron, found out I was in law enforcement she asked me to read and review her book and to give it an honest review. I promised her I would, and I'm glad I did. The story is compelling and kept me involved and anxious to read more, There's my honest assessment. I could see this story becoming an excellent movie. For those contemplating this book, do it! One very brave woman -Moshe go go5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible and heart breakingOne of the best books I have ever read!I assumed this was going to be about a woman spiked in a bar, how wrong I was. The elaborate lengths these people have gone to in order to carry out these crimes is incredible.I was very shocked to learn the full effects of this terrible drug and how the victim can be so easily controlled. It was almost unbelievable, like something out of a very good crime film, yet I know it is all too true. Both incredibly revealing and frightening that this sort of thing happens in real life and I wish Sharron all the best for the future.

"Fool's Mate" tells the true stories of two traitors working different sides of the Cold War. One is an arrogant, lonely U.S. Army soldier serving in the highly secretive National Security Agency. The other is an ambitious KGB officer with access to the U.S.S.R.'s most sensitive documents. Both betray their countries, but their fates and motivations are very different. At the height of the Cold War in September 1965, disgruntled U.S. soldier Robert Stephan Lipka walked boldly into the U.S.S.R. embassy in Washington, DC. Inside, he negotiated the sale of highly sensitive National Security Agency documents. The price he demanded for his treason? A mere four hundred dollars. The Soviets could not believe their luck. For the next two years, Lipka delivered a steady stream of important information on U.S. security, before attempting to get out of the spy game as his military enlistment period expired. The KGB, however, continued their interest in Lipka for several years, eventually dispatching deep-cover Soviet illegals to make re-contact.As Lipka exited the scene, KGB officer Vasili Mitrokhin planted the seeds of his own treason, which bore unexpected fruit decades later. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the imminent collapse of the Soviet Union, Mitrokhin fledto the West, offering a treasure trove of archived KGB files in return for protection.Hidden within those documents was incriminating evidence against Lipka, who was then living a quiet life in the Amish suburbs of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After a lengthy surveillance and sting operation, Lipka was convicted in 1997. Thirty-two years after first committing treason, he was finally brought to justice-his conviction ending the longest-running open espionagecase in U.S. history. With Lipka's adamant refusal to cooperate with authorities, it remains unclear just how much American blood he traded for small sums of cash."Fool's Mate" reconstructs the Lipka investigation through the eyes of author John Whiteside, the FBI Special Agent who led the case from start to finish, telling a story as relevant today as it was in 1965. With the arrest of ten Russian illegals in 2010 and the 2013 release of classified National Security Agency documents by Edward Snowden, "Fool's Mate" reminds us just how vulnerable national security is to both foreign intelligence services and men like Lipka, willing to sell out their country from within.
TRUE MURDER VOLUME 1: The Zodiac Killer and Black Dahlia - 2 Books in 1Featuring... *The Zodiac Killer*Black Dahlia2 Great Books in 1!The Zodiac KillerIf not for the ominous shadow of Jack the Ripper, the case of the Zodiac Killer would perhaps be the greatest mystery the world has ever known. The Zodiac Killer was the self-given name to a murderer who took responsibility for the deaths of at least five people in the San Francisco area of California throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Over the decades, the case has become synonymous with mystery and injustice. The Zodiac Killer's murders were brutal, bizarre and without remorse. He began by targeting young couples in lovers' lanes and executing them with close-range gunshots. His murders then progressed, indicating a highly-unstable frame of mind yet one intelligent enough to evade capture. He would go onto taunt the police and the media with strange ciphers and messages which would take significant time to decode - some of which remain untranslated to this day. Despite extensive searching, analyzing and profiling, no conclusive evidence of the Zodiac Killer's identity has ever been put forward. Of course, many theories exist, some of which appear to answer all of the questions one would have regarded the identity of a notorious serial killer. However, none are concrete enough to serve as solid confirmation of who he really was. This is the story of a delusional, inhuman killing machine. It is often said that the truth is stranger than fiction, and the Zodiac Killer's reign of terror continues to prove this. Black DahliaThe sun rose over Los Angeles that Wednesday morning in 1947, and a light breeze from the southeast ruffled the hair of Betty Bersinger and her three-year-old as they took a walk down South Norton Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood in southern Los Angeles. It was just two weeks into a new year, January 15, 1947. WWII had been over for almost two years, and dawn was breaking on the cold war. Harry Truman was president. He'd taken charge of the country after Franklin Delano Roosevelt died in 1945, and the country was beginning the push back against the communist ideals of the USSR. It's a Wonderful Life had just debuted at Christmas 1946, and nobody knew it would grow to be a classic. The Old Lamplighter by Sammy Kaye and his Orchestra was at the top of the Billboard charts, but swing music was on its way out, soon to be replaced by doo-wop, pop, and rock and roll. Los Angeles was in a real estate boom. G.I.s home from the war were using the new G.I. Bill to buy vacant lots waiting to be transformed into subdivisions with houses to raise the children who would become the Baby Boomers. Betty Bersinger noticed a white discarded store mannequin laying in a scraggly, undeveloped lot near the side walk; its top half separated from the bottom half. A closer look revealed two things. The discarded mannequin was actually the naked body of a woman who'd been cut cleanly in half, and the discovery would become one of the grisliest, most notorious murders ever committed in the United States. It's been 70 years, and still-no one knows who did it.

The drug-infested area in which he lives holds more than a few challenges for him, and now he has unwittingly fallen prey to two neighborhood thugs-along with a recovering drug addict, Janice Swanson-and been pulled into a life-threatening situation. But the unknown factor about Leonard is one that no one would ever expect-it's his ability to fight back
This book is mostly my autobiography but I sometimes allude to other subjects of interest to me. Though my autobiography is interesting, adventurous, and filled with many encounters with so called, "Famous People", we all know most autobiographies are just folks pounding their chests and bragging about how great they are. I want to avoid that so I write a bit differently. There are encounters with Putin, Wild Chamberlin, Hawaiian Royality, Hervie Hancock and other Jazz Artists, and others. Quite obviously I am not Gandhi or Mother Teresa though I do admire both of them. Like everyone on earth I am a walking ghost of the past, my past, my relatives past and carrying my own unique spirit. I take the journey of life as I see best and live with no regrets. Obviously my tales are from a subjective point of view. There are parts I may omit or not recall exactly the way they happened but that is a part of all autobiographies. I am telling this story because I need to tell it for myself, for my own healing, for the healing of others. There is a mystery involved that has had a profound effect on me and others in this story. The mystery surrounds the death of my Mother. I want to share with others an experience that may encourage them to think about how they live their lives. I also include in this book part of the biography of my Uncle Glen Harman as told to me and recorded. The main portion of his biography is about his experiences in WWII. He fought in some of the worse battle in the South Pacific. I think it is good to look back and see what many Americans went through to assure America's freedom and the freedom of many other nations. I have practiced Nichiren Sho Shu Buddhism since I was 19 years old and I have learned the value of appreciation. I am still working on the value of forgiveness. My goal in writing this book is to come to a state of forgiveness, but, really I am not too concerned if it does not happen overnight. I never use profanity in any of my literature, so this book is fine for all ages.

The Story of the Disclosure of Hidden Truths About the Global Crime of Chemistry in the Atmosphere - Part 1 As I surmised, there were three men with ties in the second SUV U.S. officials on the talks, the three who have left in the third, the Italians, the trinity, which has withdrawn from the fifth, they were - Slovenes. All I immediately recognized, because I have seen on television a day, so I was not surprised. I was surprised only that they are strong people to the concepts of Slovenia, found themselves together, because you are not exactly the most loving - or just play for us, the audience. In addition to drivers was evident in every car with pudding in one security guard, the other three cars and even after three. When I watched this handshake between the leaders who decide whether or not we Slovenians died earlier than they would otherwise, I became increasingly ill and severely in the stomach...
It's a book of today's highest thinkers, Then the Alphabet comes along, and shows where each initial stands, and some higher thinkers initials don't fit, and then we get to see who did a switch the rules. but still made it through heavenly, or is it a fall from grace, as a story we've all heard before aka Lucifer" but in this day and time his initial J, and he fell for the music all over again
