In the recent past, solutions for stationary case and generalized phenomenology of the fluid mechanical vortex coil are emerging. The paper deals with the question of how the recent phenomenology of the vortex coil can be applied to future design issues, in particular how non-homogeneous geometries can lead to the formation of harmonic vortex systems.
