The six plenary sessions emphasized pituitary peptides, releasing factors, brain peptides, growth factors, peripheral peptides, and clinical applications. Dr. Axelrod discussed numerous factors, such as the peptides CRF, VIP, and somatostatin, that regulate hormone secretion from pituitary cells.
