Nefertiti, 1370 BC- 1330 BC, the great queen, is best known to us for her striking beauty. Her famous bust brought her to life and ever since its discovery in 1912 by German Archeologist Ludwig Borchardt; her image has been the face of Egypt. Most people know her solely based on the bust, but she is much more than just a pretty face. Nefertiti was a major player in a time of great upheaval in Egyptian history. She was on the forefront of a religious revolution that she and her husband, Akhenaten began. She was by his side from day one and was a devoted servant to this new religion that rocked Egypt to its core. Not much is known about the woman herself or her inner thoughts, so we will need to talk about her in a larger context. We will attempt to cover, ever so briefly, the life of this great Queen, Nefertiti, the Great Queen of Amarna. When one looks back in Ancient history, there are a few luminaries that stand out. Luminaries that shook the world so intensely that their influence has never abated until this day. We have Alexander the Great and the spread of Hellenism. Abraham who laid the foundation for the major Semitic religions . Socrates, Plato and Aristotle who taught us how to use our minds. And so many others. In this book we will be discussing the life of arguably the most influential person in history; Jesus. Whether you believe Jesus truly existed as a flesh and blood human being or as simply an archetype representing an idea, there is no doubt that Jesus changed the world with his teachings. In saying that, I would like to point out that this book will not argue for or against the historicity of Jesus, that is for you, the reader to decide. Our goal in the Interviews with History series is to provide concise and easy reference guides to major historical figures using the texts that represent them. With that in mind, we will be discussing Jesus' life in context of the New Testament, more specifically the gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

As the Roman Empire swept through Europe, it conquered almost all the lands it came across. It became the most hated empire the world had ever known. Despite their great success at subjecting the known world, they did not achieve these victories without a fight. Throughout their conquests, they met with fierce resistance. These various resistance movements culminated in numerous wars. Some wars lasting for several bloody years and some, not so long. It took a special person to even dare defy Roman Rule. One of these special people was Boudicca, ( Often spelled Boudica or Boudicea), born around A.D 25 to a Royal family of the Briton tribe of Iceni, in Celtic Britain. Not very much is known about her life, much of it remains somewhat of a mystery. The little information we have comes from two prominent historians; Cassius Dio (A.D. 150-235) and Publius Cornealius Tacitus ( A.D 56-117). From what we can glean from these two men about Boudicca is fascinating. When Rome humiliated her and her people. She, in her righteous anger faced Rome head-on; rallying her people against them. In many ways, she is one of the great heroines of history. In this book, we will discuss, ever so briefly, Boudicca, The Flame-Haired Warrior Queen.

Joan of Arc: Maid of Orleans Joan of Arc is one of the most compelling people in history. Joan, a young illiterate peasant girl was not in any way remarkable during her early childhood. Nothing in her early life would suggest she would be anything else but a medieval peasant girl, living the average medieval life for her class. The time period and country to which she was born into was quite tumultuous. The English had taken much of France and it was starting to become clear that all of France would be taken over. In this sense, her world could be turned upside down at any moment. It was during this time that Joan suddenly had her visions; spiritual visions that would set her on a path to war, a path mandated by God...A path of no return. She was given the task of liberating France from the English. In this book, we will cover, ever so briefly, the great life of Joan of Arc, the Maid of Orleans.

Many are the exploits of Romes Emperors, but few Emperors were as infamous as Caligula. His reign was short, just under 4 years. During that time he wallowed in depravity and lunacy. He came to power with the full backing of the people, but little did they know he would inspire their hatred soon into his reign. Caligula is a fascinating character because he is so complex. What caused his madness? Was he sick with a brain disease? Did he have high amounts of lead in his system as some would suggest? Or perhaps he was driven mad by life circumstances. No one will truly know what caused him to act the way that he did. His upbringing initially was quite good; he was on track to have a good "stable" life. This would all change however as one by one, members of his family die by the vicious hand of the Emperor Tiberius. As he grows up without family members who loved him he slowly formed his character in this vacuum of affection. A character so maligned and hated that he would go down as one of the most evil people in history. In this volume of Interviews with History, we will cover, ever so briefly, the life of this tortured soul
