This text specifically links both international and internal migration with development at a global level, rather than at just a local level. It provides global coverage with examples taken from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific, as well as from the more developed world.

The research presented in this volume was motivated by a concern to address an emerging political debate over natural resource management issues in refugee situations. The text seeks to ensure that a plurality of voices are heard in defining policies and projects.
