What could convince two young mice to journey to a Cheese Jamboree in Wisconsin? Why CHEESE, of course! In their latest adventure, our favorite midwestern mice head off in search of delicious Swiss cheese and to find their way back home--Mitt to his mitten and Minn to the cabin she shares with Gerdie. Unfortunately, each contest can have only one winner!
After exploring their respective home states, Mitt and Minn meet in Book Three at the Wisconsin Cheese Jamboree. At the conclusion of the exciting cheese-eating contest, they discover that they are indeed brother and sister. A Jersey cow from Illinois shares the news with them and tells them that she can help them reunite with their parents. Mitt and Minn decide against returning to Minnesota with Minn's beloved Gerdie and set off on a new adventure to the land of Lincoln. Will a happy reunion with their parents await the mice there?
Mitt, as young white-footed mouse, lives happily in a wool mitten deep in the forest until a boy happens by with his rather large dog that snatches Mitt's beloved home. Mitt embarks on a journey across Michigan to retrieve his warm and cozy mitten, seeing many sights and having many adventures.Mitt, the Michigan Mouse is the first book in a chapter book series of four stories about a family of mice and their journeys throughout the Great Lakes states.
