The Department of Building Technology at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft studies and develops cardboard as a potential building material on a comprehensive basis. An exploratory phase from 2003 to 2005 was concluded by an international symposium. This title comprises the report on that symposium.

Technically speaking, structures of irregularly shaped buildings needn't be constructed as two-dimensional frames that slice through a building with total disregard of the building's geometry. This work shows how structures consisting of systematically generated components fulfil the needs for structures appropriate for free form building designs.
