Kalen Trinneer is trapped in a conflict that threatens the lives of everyone on the planet Taidor. To avoid suspicion, he must assist the U-Zone army and deny his true loyalties. Learning of a terrible threat to the Ea-Zone, Kalen is determined to escape so that he can alert them to the danger. His plans are thwarted when he is forced to marry a woman that he doesn't love.
