In the Kingdom of Nordica, there are expectations set by the royalty, and the nobility. Those who live under their rule and influence are expected to follow them, even to their detriment. This extends towards joining in the prized ranks of the Kingdom's Knights. Commoners are far and few in-between, keeping their heads down to those of a higher rank than they are, even on the battlefield. The status quo of the famed Knights receives its first real challenge with the common-born Nafarr Frieling joining its ranks without so much as a recommendation. He follows orders, though doesn't kowtow to the prestige amongst its ranks, or outside of them, quickly becoming a nuisance to most used to obeisance. Even worse still is the fact that he speaks with the courage of the enigmatic King, who seems to find a sort of peculiar interest in the Knight himself. To make matters more difficult, this isn't the least of the Knights' problems. On the horizon are whispers of a fabled disasterous calamity making its reappearance back in the face of history, said to bring catastrophe in its wake. Can the Knights of Nordica face off against the oncoming enemy? Or will they destroy themselves first confronting the archaic class system that has set apart people since the dawn of the Kingdom itself?
