Returning to Zelle wasn't what I hoped for. It was better. I have to admit, I never liked the idea of someone being in my head, but the telepathic bond I have with Sloane is what I was missing with the Jareneikians. I don't know how I would have put my family back together if Sloane hadn't agreed to get in a Vaktow and travel from one planet to another. His ability to walk through walls, let's just say every day, has been one adventure after another.
We told Dad we would take Jon and Rose to as many of the 23 surrounding galaxies during their break as possible. It was going to be a challenge, but we were going to try to make it to each one. One way or another, it was going to be an interesting experience, of that I was sure.
Sloane and Jahni's off world adventures are far from over. Jahni is now an Ambassador from Zelle to Jareneiks. Not everyone is happy about this, especially Renej, whose hate for her has been growing steadily. Renej tries to convince the board to move part of the Jareneikian population from space back to their home world of Jareneiks. Since the majority of their food is grown on Jareneiks, that would decrease their food supply. Jahni is the only one who can stop him. Before Jahni goes to Jareneiks, Sloane has an ominous dream about Deltik, the planet Sloane grew up on. No one has had contact with Deltik in over a month. Since the lack of trading will upset the economy, Sloane and Jahni go there, where they discover unexpected readings from the moon. Neither Sloane nor Jahni could have anticipated what they find when they arrive.
