She faces the torturous decision of keeping a secret from them or telling them the truth and planting a seed of distrust that could trigger retaliation.

Desperate to speak with Loki, Kara finds the elusive god harder to track down than expected. She has spotted him from afar and in one of his shape-shifting forms. Still, she is unable to secure him to establish what his intentions are with the dragons and her friends, which leaves her in an awkward situation.A dangerous being from the past delivers a message that leaves Kara and her friends battered. It carries a requirement that goes against every bone in her body. If she doesn't adhere to the warning, then she is promised a painful death after watching the torturous demise of her friends.

Instead, Odin is determined to take Elan away and make her dragon his. Whether he’s a god or not, she isn’t going to let that happen. And of course, Elan can defend herself.
