This is the first in a series of works on wakefulness. In short chapters that take the form of meditations, contemplations, and reflections, the author describes a heightened awareness of "being" and the path to that awareness. Author commentaries on each poetic piece provide background for and deeper explanation of each lyrical creation.A psychotherapist in his working life, Mr. Alderette suggests that his compositions be read aloud or even be recorded for later listening. Inspired by the experience of his own meditative, contemplative, and reflective states and his close reading of spiritual texts from Tao, Buddhist, Christian, and philosophical sources, he offers his writing as guidance to others who seek heightened awareness.
This second volume in the series on wakefulness by the author focuses on life in the form of forces which shape or add to our search for meaning in life. A glance at the table of contents immediately identifies the list of forces to be highlighted. These highlighted forces are presented, usually three at a time, in the format of a story about a "him" or a "her" in relation to specific life forms. All of life, of course, enriches; awareness of life in the form of these forces is intended to enrich the searcher in the specific ways suggested by the highlighted forces. The operative word is "suggested" because one can not encase life nor the forms in which it appears to our limited comprehension. Mystery defies encasement.
