Three Danish grandmothers have written a book of values and activities they want to share and promote to make a good life for upgrowing children - for grandchildren. The book falls in three parts - Art and Culture, the Role of Nature and Creative Processes. The focus is on all the activities and ideas that can give you a rich and authentic relationship to your grandchildren or any relation between a grown-up and a child. The three parts are based on theoretical and didactic ideas, and the photos are helpful to give an idea of what can be practiced together with the children. It is an enjoyable and rewarding reading for persons, that are interested in seeing a child growing up with all its potentials.

Come with us to The Valley of Hearts and let Chief Eaglefeather introduce you to the Flamedancers' Fire. They will help you and your child (+5) cleanse your energy to find peace and fall asleep. Being a child today is challenging. A lot of emotions are in play. Some more fiery than others. On one side we see passionate kids with lots of emotions that are hard to handle when unbalanced. On the other side we also see kids who have lost connection with their passion power early in life and seem dimmed. Either way it is all about reconnecting with and understanding our fire element inside - our passion power. We learn how to mirror nature inside of us in the Valley of Hearts. Understanding our inner fire is so helpful in so many ways. This meditation is helpful for both parents and children who have too much inner fire. It will help you understand and regulate your temper. Tending to your inner fire, will help invisible and anonymous children and parents turn up your fire, enabling you to experience a more balanced energy with more passion. With this fire meditation, I help you teach your child to sift through the many inputs of the day and to recognize which have made an impression, and how they feel about them. You learn how to let go of pent-up energy from thoughts, feelings and experiences you no longer want to carry. When you throw the excess energy that burdens you onto the fire, you will most likely feel lighter. We all wish to see the spark in our children's smiling eyes, and we dream that they will fall in love with life itself and explore the many adventures life has to offer. One way to make this happen is to teach our children about their inner fire and how to tend to it.Helping your child to balance their inner fire is helping them to navigate their future. It is a gift for life.

In this book, you will meet me, Emma, and my family. I share my story of being a donor child, how it has impacted my life, my parents' involuntary childlessness, and how we have dealt with donor conception in my family. Against the advice from doctors, my parents choose from the beginning to tell me the truth about the help they had received to become a family. Today, my parents have three children, all of whom have come into the world through fertility treatments. Our story is not unique. Many couples worldwide have difficulty having children and this means that up to every 10th child is born with the help of fertility treatments.I have invited leading Danish specialists to put my personal story in perspective with their knowledge of fertility treatment, choice of donor, relationships and family life. Read the book as a impute on the debate regarding donor use and how it can influence children who are conceived through fertility treatments with donor conception.
A united nations member states committee debate in October 2019 noted the importance of fostering stable families and promotion of its role in social protection of youth and the vulnerable in many countries. The family was noted to help societies be more inclusive. The debate also noted that balancing work and family remained a challenge for many families in Europe. The Biblical perspective says God made the first family to ever exist and placed them in a good environment. His actions shows that He wills wellness for the family. Nora and Nia is therefore a creative family book. It is written to be read and hopefully be an inspiration in helping foster stability in families while supporting it in playing its vital role in social inclusion. Through integration of healthy stabilizing values like play, creativity, work and godly bible training in daily routines, I hope you and your family will enjoy reading it.

Adriana Carter grew up in the foster system. Despite this, she worked hard and made a good life for herself, even landing a job as a consultant with the FBI.One day, she made a horrible mistake and her only chance at redemption was in the form of a suspected criminal mastermind, Agostino Gismondi. She takes to Northern Italy and eventually makes a connection with Signore Gismondi. As she gets to know him and his sons, her resolve starts to waver, as she finds the lines between who she is, and who she could be, start to blur.
I discovered family and a home at a much later age than most, but what my start in life did provide was the wonderful discovery of food. Food was “life” and “joy” in one, and as I grew older my love for food grew. I graduated from catering school at the age of 21 after being awarded a fully funded scholarship in Switzerland working in a Michelin Star Restaurant near Montreux. I later worked in Germany, Canada, the UK and Denmark. Over the years I learned that food can be an important part of the way people interact and connect, from a simple cake to a four course meal. Some friends and family cook together, others prefer the feeling of entertaining their guests. Making food, or being involved in kids food activities at Christmas time can have very special meaning and create a powerful atmosphere of togetherness. Christmas to me is about a house full of love, decorations chosen by the whole family (including the tree), feasts that look and smell absolutely amazing, warm spices, generous flavours, and above all, a house that feels like home. May your Christmas be full of love, your tummy full of delights and your heart always feel at home. Merry Christmas!
